Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle down and stop living in the cramped confines of a refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park are some of the most desirable as they are in close proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw, it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports fields tucked into one of its corners, but five-star hotels, museums and great malls make life in the Century Park area easy for the homesick foreigner. And if living in a Western bubble in China isn’t your thing, there is plenty of local flavor to be had in between the major development. Some of Lujiazui’s futurism can also be seen in buildings and sculptures throughout the neighborhood as well.
Century Park in Shanghai is one of the largest parks in the city, definitely the largest in the Pudong Financial area, and it combines serenity with activities. What you think about the park may be influenced by where you enter the park because each entrance has a different feeling and focus for your 10rmb price.
I entered on the North...
It too big and you better know where is your exhibition center is! 1st 2 days the taxi drop me outside the main gate but my exhibition hall is right at TT end of the other side. I walked at least more than 10 mins under the hot sun! It’s dem tiring and many ppl queueing to go in.
Went there with a 9 y old girl and 16 y old boy - it was quite a stretch in interest. If you want to watch movies as well - be there early, if you would like to experience an earthquake - you need to reserve it via wechat - ask a Chinese friend to help. All signs and info...
This place was about a 20 minute walk from the Renaissance Hotel. There is also a metro station right in the middle of the square making this an easy place to visit.
The square is popular with skateboarders. They had setups that were being used to do various tricks. A few people were just watching or recording videos of the...
This museum was one of the first private museums in China. It is a bit strange, covering a couple of floors in a high rise building in Pudong near the Shanghai Convention Center. It is easy to get to by metro. The current (March 2016) exhibit is on the Mogao Caves on the Silk Road in Western China. There is...
"The go to venue for the perfect steak and friendly service"

I would recommend The Meat to anyone who appreciates top-quality Aussie steak cooked to perfection every time - just ask for Willy to serve you, and it will be an experience you won;t forget or regret!
They serve various beer types all brewed by themselves.
You can taste a sampler of all and choose the one that will be your "killer" for the night.
A band plays live music inside but it's awfully loud and the air conditioning is really bothering.
The service is friendly but not too professional but it's ok because waiters are mostly...
This place is decent. They promote being a burger expert but they are not. If burgers are your thing go to Beef and Liberty next door.
Salads are good but tell them 1/2 dressing.
Deserts are decent but nothing to write home about. Generally it’s all good here but nothing great.
They have outdoor seating and you can smoke so...
This breakfast buffet was fabulous. Such variety of offerings and very fresh. Getting coffee service was a bit slow, but it was busy Stayed at 3 different hotels during business and China and hands down this was the best.
"Great hotel. Some issues with check-out and billing."

I stayed at the Kerry from July 9-11, 2018. I have to say that The Cook is an amazing dining venue. I had breakfast there and was very impressed with the staff and the manager, Willy. They are attentive and the food is delicious and quite varied. In fact, I would go so far as to say it is one...
A great hotel where you can be sure of a comfortable stay in clean spacious and relaxing rooms. The hotel foyer is impressive and inviting and the staff are very friendly and always genuinely happy to help.
I stayed here for one night while visiting a customer in Shanghai area. This was my second time staying in that hotel. Overall my I enjoyed the stay both times and my experience of the Renaissance was very positive. The room that I stayed was very large and the bathroom was very nice and well organized.
The hotel is very...
- Right above Century Park metro stop on Line 2 (which was a great line for sightseeing)
- Short metro ride to Hua Mu metro stop which has tons of restaurants and shopping
- Very close to a convenience store (FamilyMart), grocery store, bakery, and Starbucks
- Fantastic view of Century Park from our own balcony
- Great service...
My second stay in this hotel and a very good option if working other in Pudong. Very good access within walking distance to various different Metro lines.
Staff are very good with excellent English, and a clear management focus on service and the full hotel experience. They seem genuinely to want to make your stay as good as possible
