Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle down and stop living in the cramped confines of a refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park are some of the most desirable as they are in close proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw, it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports fields tucked into one of its corners, but five-star hotels, museums and great malls make life in the Century Park area easy for the homesick foreigner. And if living in a Western bubble in China isn’t your thing, there is plenty of local flavor to be had in between the major development. Some of Lujiazui’s futurism can also be seen in buildings and sculptures throughout the neighborhood as well.
It's a great place if you're going for the first time. It has a huge building and has many pavilions. (Space, animal, electronic etc.)
Ok can visit this place if you have a spare day and nothing else to do.
SNICE is situated in Shanghai's Pudong district. It's quite surprising that it's so huge and still maintain beautifully. It have few food stalls, wear comfortable shoes as you have to walk a lot. For shopaholics close to SNICE there's one A. P. Plaza which offers clothing and shoes on very bargained prices.
You can walk through Century Square on your way to Century Park, rather than making it a destination in itself. It's popular wth skateboarders so watch your back. Keep an eye out for hustlers trying to get you to visit their market stalls.
This museum was one of the first private museums in China. It is a bit strange, covering a couple of floors in a high rise building in Pudong near the Shanghai Convention Center. It is easy to get to by metro. The current (March 2016) exhibit is on the Mogao Caves on the Silk Road in Western China. There is...
I heard that this is one of the best steak restaurant in Shanghai, now after trying the meat here I must admit it's so true!!!delicious!and not only the meat, but also desserts!!!nice service and atmosphere
I have only come here for beer, so I can't speak to the quality of the food. On my last visit, I spent an enjoyable warm spring evening chatting with Chris Bump, the brewer, a regular homebrewer visitor from Oregon, and an ESL teacher friend of mine who now lives in Shanghai.
The BREW is a visually impressive space on...
Great Sichuan food in a very nice setting. Like most places in China a great selection of different dishes. The spice level perhaps a bit tuned down for the Shanghainese taste buds but your lips will tingle for sure.
If you're looking for something uniquely authentically Chinese, this is not it. But if you've been in China a long time and you just want a really good western-style hamburger (and other dishes too), this is it. I ate here way too many times (at least 30?) while working on the Disney Shanghai park and staying at the Kerry hotel...
I am always delighted to stop at the Kerry Parkside Pure & Whole restaurant. Their new menu is even better than before. Portobello sandwiches, Quinoa salads and fresh juices plus so much more.
My favorite place to grab a bite or for business.
The Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel in Shanghai really hit the jackpot when they aquired Maggie Li.
Maggie's contagious smile and professionalism is second to none. She is exceptionally articulate in the English language, very approachable and welcoming of any concerns the hotel guests may have. I found her to be adaptable to guests of all stature, business class, working class, holiday...
Luxury hotel and accommodation but not too ostentatious. Comfortable bed. Clean. Good local restaurant for breakfast and other meals. Inside a shopping mall so choice of restaurants there too. One or two minutes walk from the underground (via street or shopping mall) so it's easy to get to city (significantly cheaper than taxi and more convenient because avoids the heavy...

I stayed at the hotel from 3 September to 7 September 2017. It's a beautiful hotel with a wonderful ambience. The rooms are of the highest quality designed for total comfort. The gym facilities were to my satisfaction as was the pool. The dining facilities and food were excellent as well as their bar.
The hotel is ideally located for...
