When people speak of Shanghai’s futuristic skyline, it’s the financial district of Luiazui they are speaking of. Shanghai’s most iconic buildings are located in close proximity to Lujiazui’s elevated ring road and swanky eateries. Sky-high shopping and chic bars fill the highrises around the area. As is characteristic of a world-class financial business district, some of Shanghai’s best malls and hotels can be found in the neighborhood. While everyone on the famous Bund side of the river gazes in awe at these amazing structures, all the buildings here, as well as Lujiazui’s riverside promenade, offer great views of the historic buildings all along the Puxi side. The Lujiazui park often hosts music festivals throughout the year, and park goers can party and stroll in the shadow of some of the world’s tallest buildings.
I recommend pre-booking your tickets so that you can get straight into the line to go up the tower. The lift alone is an experience, reaching high speeds as you head towards the 118th floor. On a clear day (which we were lucky enough to have), the view over the city is incredible.
One of the best views in Shanghai area you can see from this tower. We went to this instead of Shanghai tower which is the highest tower due to the glass floor at the top of the building. It is not a great use of glass floor but it is worth it.

"What a view!"

Not the tallest building in Shanghi but well worth a trip to the 88th floor and observation deck. The weather was good - really fantastic views, truly fabulous. Amazing view of the atrium too. And if you're feeling brave you can do a sky walk!
To get to the level high enough to have a good view we had to wait for about 20-30 mins in a queue to take the elevator up to 263m. I am afraid of heights so it was really frightening to be so high up. There was a glass floor area at a slightly lower level where visitors can walk...
Situated at the base of the Opel Tower, this is a very interesting museum to learn how Shanghai was 'discovered', developed and form to the vibrant city it is today.
The models are a tad dated (and smelly!) but it is all very interesting and a good add-on to our tower tour.
I have only been for the breakfast buffet a few time but can say it is vastly better than the Shangri-la Yi Cafe.
The quality of food is much much higher. Basically Yi Cafe feels like a hoard of hungry masses ravaged the place by 9:00 AM. Staff is bleary eyed and indifferent.
Well worth the walk across the street...
This is my favorite place for authentic Lebanese food in China. Great Mezze variety, wonderful Shawarma, and fresh salads. Consistently delicious. Thank you Chef Fadi.... you make us Happy I will be back again soon.
The room was absolutely first class, large and more than comfortable, with a large bathroom and a wonderful round tub made for two, with a view. The hotel was impressive in its layout and in its decor.
Our room faced the telecommunications tower and the river, so the views were spectacular, particularly at night looking across to the Bund with...
This hotel has the best overall customer service I have ever encounter, everybody always showed professionalism and ensured that we had the least troubles in our stay in Shanghai. Great pool, and it has some of the best restaurants in town.
On business and I had a wonderful stay at the Four Seasons Pudong.
The room is spacious, practical, good view and everything is just right as a 5-star standard. Very good service and they serve the super best in china in-room dining Hainan chicken rice!
The cafe serves a very elaborate dessert-afternoon tea set which the chef personally displays colourful...
Spent 3 nights in Shanghai housed in a Grand Tower Horizon Club room that had a breathtaking view of the Shanghai Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center. Was delighted at the size and comfort of the room. Had access to the Horizon Club which overlooks the Bund while we enjoyed both breakfast and evening cocktails. We had the best...
Due to a Business trip and national holiday I enjoyed some days in this hotel. Great location, good service, nice Restaurants which where a bit too expensive.
I had a standard double room with very good beds, large bathroom with shower and tub. Breakfast very well mixed, so everybody will find something to please his wishes. View from the pool...
