The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
I would say that this museum is a tier below those I've been to in DC and I mean that in a good way. The museum even had exhibits where you could touch live animals but does were limited to certain time slots. The visit was very english-friendly albeit some typos in descriptions and some of the taxidermies were amusingly...
As the name implies, this park is imbued with large post-modern style sculptures placed throughout the fairly large environs. Surrounded by the city on all four sides, it is however a quiet and peaceful repast from the hustle on the other side of the fence. A nice change from the usual parks that one expects.
It’s one of the big temple in the city center. We go every year when we are in town. According to the lady in the temple, in April of 2018, they opened a vegetarian noodle shop. It was very good. Clean, tasty food and very friendly staffs. Check their hours, most of the restaurant in the temple don’t open very...
The museum itself is beautiful and I spent half a day wandering around. I did get an audio guide but I didn’t use it much, there was plenty of information already by the displays. Some of the taxidermy made me laugh a lot! Was disappointed and upset to see that half the butterflies appeared dead in the butterfly house and...

"Crowded and unsafe place"
reviewed 7 October 2018 by erdncksdl
At the end of 2016 I visited this exibition centre. And there someone robbed my bag that's in my passport and money. And the police couldnt help me about to find my bag. This center ia very big and crowded. People has to be careful.
My only complaint is that I didn’t get a discount for cleaning the plate. 😀
The Thom Ka Gai soup was one of the best I ever had (been to Thailand many times). The Panang Curry was delicious and spice too.
"trendy restaurant in a mall, at the French concession"

The best food we had on our travels through China, delicious dim sum, perfectly cooked vegetable small plates, flavorful soups, Trendy, modern sophisticated ambience . Would go there many times and tell all my friends about it
Just go for it. I'm craving it already. Best enjoyed on the spot. Just order it and have it while it's still warm.. Bring out that "happy kid" (even if you hadn't tried it before) feeling as you eat/ enjoy one of these tarts.
My company arranged me to stay in the Sukhothai Hotel for a month before finding an apartment for accommodation for my new assignment in Shanghai recently. The hotel's location is convenient with shopping mall and the metro link nearby.
This a boutique hotel, small and cozy but all of you needs could find there, the restaurant, the bar, the indoor...
Wonderful stay at The PuLi, i had the pleasure to spend almost 2 weeks in this Oasis in the mid of Shanghai. The breakfast was a perfect start into the Day and the Spa which i had used twice was the best i had experienced so far.
Cant wait for my next stay.
Probably the most exclusive, luxurious and stylish hotel Shanghai can currently offer. I wonder who is still booking the dusty and old fashioned Peninsula or RC?!? Location is right in the heart of the city, offering great dining options, a superb spa/indoor pool and very well equipped gym. The interior is modern, yet very elegant. I have no words for...
It was my first trip to shanghai and I’m not good at chinese but when i checked in the room at reception desk,i met sherry and she helped me with translate. After that guide me and give prime information for me.Sherry was thoroughly kind ,helpful and professional. Sherry could speak english very well either. I think Sherry is outstanding staff lol...
Stayed here for a few days during a conference. Would recommend it all. The rooms are large and well planned. Heated floor in the bath was good attention to detail. Breakfast spread and quality was good. Even for a vegetarian like me. Language is a challenge in the city but the hotel team provides all possible support.
