Part of the historical centre of São Paulo, República was once a fancy residential area. República Square holds a craft and food fair every weekend, right by the subway entrance. Nearby, one of the neighbourhood’s main attractions is the Italian Building, where you can see the city from the 42nd floor. The Copan Building also deserves a close look, with 1,160 apartments and a huge floor area that inspired filmmakers and other artists. To get the feeling of São Paulo in the beginning of the 1900s, visit the Municipal Theatre – you will be amazed by its architecture. The area also features several galleries. República is a great area to explore during daytime, but use caution if visiting alone at night.

"Great views, with a small price.."

We were on the search of a great view of expansive Sao Paulo, and this seemed to be regarded as one of the best.
The building is fairly centrally located, close to the subway and a couple of other attractions. It's easy to walk to from most central locations.
It has mostly a 360 degree view of the city, though...
I would say 4-5 stars for the building which is really nice, a 1929 art deco tall building with a mansion on top that you can see well from Banespa building (paying visit, not free as some guidebooks say), but 1 star for the visit since you can no longer climb on top.

This place deserves the prize for top premium pork-flavor and creativity... great place, style and ambiance, service is ok.
First timers: have the dégustation menu that is a discovery in every bite.
Just be sure to get there early (11am) since you might wait up to 2h for a seating.

It was a very nice surprise... first time I went there... and despite the neighborhood, the restaurant has an amazing atmosphere, the food is delicious and the staff are very friendly... really worth the visit!
This tasting menu "Terrazzo Alla Terra" was not only excellent, but a wonderful dining experience!
I won’t forget that amazing view over São Paulo from the 41st floor, and of course the extra acoustic spice, live piano music during our entire meal.
I suggest to pair appetizers with a glass of the fruity and fresh bubbly Brazil’s version of Prosecco....
Great food and place. The localization is not the best but that's a governmental issue. The restaurant have no liability on this one. But the place is fine, the service is good and the price is a little high, but acceptable.
The restaurant is located in the downtown of the São Paulo City. It used to be a place where people would walk on the street and feel safe but not anymore. So the location is not the best, but the restaurant is just amazing. The food is perfect and the staff could be more well trained and prepared to receive...
The hotel is located not far from the old and historical part of the city. It is not one of the nicest places (a lot of homeless people, drug addicts dwelling around, a lot of young men hanging around which does not really give a very safe feeling to me woman alone). At the same time it was mentioned to...
Nice Hotel in the center of sao paulo very clean and comfortable, good location close by everything, not really good during the night.
Good staff everything ok, good prices, WiFi good, aircon good no problems
Having travelled for many years to many places, this hotel has the unique distinction of being the worst I've ever experienced. Having been moved from my first room because water drips from a leaking aircon unit kept me awake all night, I have been moved to another - with the same problem!! the response from the hotel..... to attach a...
The hotel is quite ok - it is good value for money, the location is close to the centre (though not in the best neighbourhood), breakfast is ok, the rooms are ok..
Wifi was very slow, and sometimes not working.
"No frills, excellent location, price and service"

As a solo female traveler, age 77, safety is at the top of my list. Also, I no longer eat dinner in clubs at 11pm. I need walking distance to Metro and
good restaurants that will serve dinner at 8 pm. Hotel Boulevard Inn meets these demands and more. The staff is unfailingly courteous and helpful. My room was large...
