Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors can now stroll through this area to view magnificent mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a former mansion turned museum which houses works by prominent Brazilian modern artists.

"a must visit in Santa Teresa"

I loved so much this Parque that I moved in a house in front of it while I was living in Rio de Janeiro. Art and music is always around and monkeys and birds say hello in the small but beautiful park. The view (free of charge) from the top of the old house is amazing!
You get there by bus or tram, walk a bit and finally get to this big house. Very very interesting. I was looking for Debret drawings and found them right there. As well I found so many others I didn't know about and loved them. The price is low and the place is amazing. If you want to see paintings,...
We had a private driver take us to Santa Teresa and said we wanted some simple authentic food. He took us here and it did not disappoint.
We ordered the "shrimp stew" that included an ice tea.
Both of us thoroughly enjoyed the meal and enjoyed the interaction of flavours. Possible the best meal we ate in Rio.
We had an amazing lunch and breakfast here staying at the hotel. The lobster and the risotto are fantastic. We would have loved to try the evening service as well but made other reservations.
The views from the window tables are awesome and Arnoldo and his team provide a great service. Highly recommended at any time of the day
This place (called "Bar do Gomez" by the locals) looks like a Bohemian version of an Irish pub. I went here 8 days in a row to end an eventful day with a pint (or some cachaca) and maybe a little snack. Great atmosphere! On the weekends the place gets full at 3pm...
I visited this place on a Thursday night, the restaurant is located in Santa Teresa and offers a beautiful view of the city. It has a great atmosphere and the food there is just incredible. I found it a little expensive considering the type of food served there; however, it was delicious.
Tips: Many locals in Rio told me to...
Nice hotel to stay at, nothing pretty special, everything was ordinary but our 5-day stay was made amazing, the hotel has a good location and friendly staffs too. we tried their restaurant and the serving was really good and cheap!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved our stay. The setting of the hotel is beautiful, in the heart of Santa Teresa with a really fun atmosphere. The food at the restaurant is very good and the bar has really fun vibes - they make a phenomenal Aperol Spritz! The hotel staff was very accommodating...
This has to be one of the best hotels in the world. Absolutely beautiful - large, well appointed rooms with fantastic views of Rio. Quiet, on a large estate, with spectacular food, swimming pool. spa etc. All wonderful and very relaxing. Like staying at a very wealthy friends house (when they are away - nothing better).
