For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
"Fine display of rare weapons, the Mehter Concert a must when visiting"

Interesting early machine guns, richly ornamented revolvers, fine edged weapons. Not very much details about famous battles. The Concert at 1500 hrs is alone worth a visit. Really blood chilling battle tunes.
For the repeat visitor to Istanbul, its fun to move away from the traditional spots and discover something new. The Ihlamur Pavilion is locates a short walk from the Nisantasi district. Google maps is a little misleading and although I got there by metro - a taxi would have been easier.
The Ihlamur Pavilion is basically one exquisite jewel of...
One of the top things to do in Turkey's capital, Ankara. It is the museum of Turkey's great leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, he is the person that leaded Turkish war of independence and the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey.
The museum displayed a great deal of his personal items, also excellent details on how he leaded...
Clean and well designed rooms plus big enough. In door amenities are really enough. Location is excellent in the heart of Istanbul in the heart of Sisli. Firendly and exprienced staff. You can take your breakfast daily in the restaurant of hotel. Hotel restaurant is perfect spot for hanging at nights. ( Cheapest beer in Sisli ) :)
If you’re a meat lover.. this is certainly the place to go.. best steaks in town.. the only disadvantage is that they don’t have a lot of salad varieties.. but the meat is simply amazing and the price is so cheap that it makes wonder.. a must visit if you are going to Istanbul.
