Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
So, my friend who lives in Bangkok attends this temple so I got a first hand view of it today. There is a boat shaped building but it is NOT the temple. It strictly a physical metaphor that is associated with prosperity. We went into the main temple and I got to meet and talk with a monk about the...
A short 15 min walk from the hustle and bustle of Silom Road and I found myself in Kukirt's home. I had the place almost to myself, and was able to explore all corners of the houses and the garden leisurely. No, it was not as photogenic or richly decorated as Jim Thompson's house, but it provided a peaceful and...
I had always wondered what was the large green area in one of Bangkok's must populated areas so I went to have a look .Teo Chew Chinese cemetery covers about 100 Rai , just over 30 acres , 16 hectares . It doubles as a public park with a covered gym and to my surprise outdoor karaoke machines ! Maybe...
I like this church. It reminded me of my church back home. It is not flashy but simple and beautiful. I got here before the Sunday 6pm service. People were nice and said hello. I felt welcomed and the mass was all in Thai but it is the same in any language. I would recommend it to everyone.
Big, creepy, steeped in local legend ghost towers, to get in shout to the caretaker and pay the money, he will let you in but access beyond the 2nd floor is impossible by conventional means (bring a rope and try your luck), the basement is filled with mozzies the size of humming birds but there is some good street art...
Must try in Bangkok. We had the 5-course tasting dinner and it was super! Highlight was the kamui beef which was so tender as it melt in your mouth and so tasty. Staff are great and friendly. The best breakfast also serve here if you are staying at U Sathorn.
The best Sunday Brunch in town. Lobster, Pan seared Foie Gras, Fresh Oyster, Black truffle, sashimi ... you can name all gourmets. Not cheap but worth for your money.
Great live band music too ! A good place to spend your Sunday with friends & Family
We stumbled across this on our way back to our hotel(Ramada Plaza Riverside). With possibly only seating for around 15-20 people. We started off with smoothies, both the mango and coconut ones were lovely! The satay and prawn starters were delicious starters and in just the right quantities. We asked for dishes which were not too spicy and were recommended...
This is my third visit to Il Bolgnese restaurant. My other visits were during lunch and I enjoyed their outstanding lunch sets. I went with a friend for dinner and it was packed. We didn’t tint hace reservations so we were lucky to get a table outside. I enjoyed the vegetation calzone. This restaurant is one of my favorite places...

We had the best meal of a fifteen day trip at this wonderful restaurant. It was a last minute choice on a very busy night and we feel incredibly lucky to have had a chance to eat the amazing food they serve.
There are many things that make for a perfect meal, but rarely do they all come together in...
Good hotel to stay and nice food to eat.
People are kind and welcome the visitors with smile and kind attitude.
Nice view and good swimming pool(You must to visit there).
Clean room. Reasonable rate to stay.
Beautifull rooms, but in our first room was a bad humidity. In the middle of the night they tried to fix the problem with new sheats. It didn’t work so we had a very bad night and all of our clothes were wet.
The next morning the hotelmanager aranged us an other room with a dehumidifier.
From then everything was...
Wonderful comfortable rooms, very well thought out with great facilities. Super helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast experiance and the pool area. The range of food and drinks in the bar and pool area is very good, and the service attentive. The hotel, whilst very quiet, is very well located for exploring central...
