Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
Good for a 10 minute shopping break if you a tourist in the area. There are guard booths at each entrance but nobody asked for a ticket to be purchased. Active religious site, appropriate dress required.
Everything on the menu is good! I've been there a couple of times.
The place is always pack but you will be seated quickly.
Cleanliness apparently is not their priority, but coming from Malaysia I'm not that bothered as long as there are no dead bodies in my meal.
I had the raw prawns, the steam fish with lemon and...
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Nang Gin Kui this past week. After 3 weeks working in Thailand, with 3 kids along for the adventure, we had one night with a babysitter to go indulge in a quieter dining experience. Having considered Gaa, Issaya and many of the others, we opted for NGK. We didn't regret it....
We have been here on our last trip and wanted our adult children to experience it. We came here around 6:30 pm sat in the casual front sitting area where we could enjoy the live entertainment. We just order the appetizers and drinks and just relax enjoy the music and atmosphere the place has. Great way to start the night.
Step in to total calm from busy Bangkok China Town. Just a 2 night stop over. A huge big make over since we last came and it's beautiful...Attention to detail was on point & service was impeccable..Cocktails are some of the best I've ever had..A great time spent as per usual.
Have stayed in this part of Bangkok before but not at this hotel. We had seen it on our recent trip and made a point to look inside and decided we would stay on our next visit to Bangkok. Booked 2 rooms a double and a twin for our 2 young adult children. Rooms were good with plenty of space...
The hotel is in a convenient location near Central Station. Rooms were spacious and clean, with good amenities. Hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The tourist desk was great, providing fantastic service and advice on what to see in Bangkok.
The location is excellent if you need to catch a train from Hua Lamphong railway station which is just over the bridge. Also vibrant China Town is a couple of blocks away. The room looks a little tired but I had a good night sleep. Nice breakfast room but don't expect a big buffet. Friendly personnel.
Great location friendly staff and lovely food, what more do you want from this wonderful hotel.
The rooms are comfortable and clean with the only downside is the bathrooms which desperately needs to be modified and brought up to date.
