Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
"Great Miro collection and interesting temporary exhibitions!"

They host a temporary exhibition on Derain, Balthus and Giacometti, focusing on their friendship and the artistical influences they shared. The exhibition runs from February 1st to May 6th, 2018. The permanent exhibition on Miro normally holds around 60 paintings by Miro but was now reduced to only 15 works by Miro. The entrance ticket to the Derain exhibition includes...
"Madrid Five Museum Pass: Whimsical With Feminine & Masculine Touches"

This museum is under the Madrid Five Museum Pass. It is worth every cent you pay if you like decorative arts. It costs 12 euros & is valid for 10 days & you can access each of the 5 museums multiple times to your heart's content. In Spanish, its called the Abono Cinco Palacios 10 Días (season ticket, 5 mansion...
Not only is the building and staircase remarkably beautiful, but the permanent and current photography and 3D exhibitions are absolutely fascinating. Very well designed, informative and interactive. Would definitely recommend!
From the moment we sat down in the bar, we knew we were in for something special and DStage did not disappoint. Everything was fantastic! New flavors, textures and some things I didn't know were possible. Garlic for dessert? Sure why not. Great wine selection as well. Overall, this was an amazing meal at an amazing price. After Azurmendi, this...
Great place to grab a drink, #Miel is one of the better bartenders I've had in the states or abroad, great drinks and amazing service, also a vibrant atmosphere with access to television if you are looking to watch soccer/futbol.
Renovation is very nice, though you will listen to city noise if you like fresh air instead of the fairly weak air system they have in the room. It is on a busy/noisy street.
The staff, however, stand out and do everything right, really! Great breakfast.
From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed by the staff - bags carried, champagne poured, toleration of my broken Spanish language abilities (of course they speak English), room ready at 10:35 am, and quality conversation about the best tourist and local spots in Madrid. I chose this location over the Westin for the historic ambiance and location in...
Only spent one night here - in a deluxe room. Not a big room but tastefully kitted out. And there is definitely a hint of mint on first entry! There was a huge bed and the linen was crisp, white and very comfortable. Large walk-in shower (no bath). Coffee/water machine with tea bags, coffee etc.
We didn't try the breakfast...
A wonderful hotel with a classic lobby, friendly staff and spotless rooms. Extraplus, for a small but great spa and gym. Easy access to the AirPort and points of interest. The hotel has conference facilitets and hosted various functions during our stay, but it did not interfere with our need for privacy and recreation.
Really centric but without the noise and people at night. All remodelled, they have a top floor with a roof and a kitchen with microwave and coffee, tea and fruit free 24/7. And every morning they would give a complementary bag in each room with water, fruit and bakery things to start your day the best way!
