Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
The most popular and most convenient beach in Barcelona, as you do not need to go out of town. Very nice view, near located the port of Olimpic, where you can order sail on a boat or go to a restaurant. Also there is a beautiful viewing platform. Cons - in the tourist season there are a lot of people.

Great station for arriving at the water front and the more interesting areas of Barcelona like Las Ramblas. Quiet and seemingly lesser used. Not as fancy as others but much more useful. In the process of renovation and already looking good.
"Good View of Barcelona from the Cable Cars Over the Harbour!"
reviewed yesterday by Brian021
I had seen these cable cars that go to Montjuïc from the port on previous trips but never had the opportunity. This trip we made a point of going. We got to the port and as we were not sure where to go we hailed a pedi- cab and he took us right there. It costs 11e for a one...

"Nice beach bar at Barceloneta"
reviewed 3 days ago by Sona F
I wisited Jefferson beach bar with a friend during late afternoon. We had cava at reasonable price. The staff is friendly the view and atmosphere is great. Jefferson has all one expects from a beach bar!
The food was amazing, menu was a bit confusing but the staff took their time to explain each dish individually. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food was reasonably priced. Would recommend a visit.
This place is spectacular! The Special dish of the day was red tuna with pistachio and it was divine. We've got also foigras salad and something else and everything was really great! Even the dessert. Really great experience. We'll come back for sure.
We recently stayed in the H10 Port Vell, Barcelona, for 3 days, 2 days before our cruise, 1 day afterwards. We returned with one of our adult children, so we reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights. My husband and I chose this hotel 3 years ago. We were more than satisfied, and knew that we would return again. The staff...
We had a great time staying at the W for three nights. The beachside location is great, as is the pool that overlooks the beach. For the most part, the staff were all friendly and helpful. We spent a lot of time in the lobby bar and the bartenders and servers made an effort to remember our drink preferences. We...
Lovely hotel complex that definitely is a bigger winner on the location level. Couple of doors from the train station, short short stroll to the marina and the biggest winner, just near Barcelona's gothic quarter. What more could you ask for.
Hotel 54 is a beach hotel mostly for tourists coming to visit Barcelona's great beaches. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach, making it very convenient. The staff also made great recommendations for restaurants, and they were very helpful with calling taxis and keeping luggage. The metro station Barceloneta is only a 10 minute walk, so it was...
Clean room, quiet, nice buffet breakfast. Reception staff friendly and able to provide good local information. Drinks available from vending machine in reception. Need to get a key for room safe from reception. Recommend for couples. One block away from Metro (barceloneta stop) which gives access to the city.
