The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
The Palau should be on every tourist plans. Magnificent building. Don't miss the indoor. There are guided tours which are a must. Make sure to check for evening concerts and local flamenco shows. One of the best!
We found this place at TripAdvisor and came there just couple of hours before show starts.
Still got nice seats and greatly enjoyed performance.
Show was very professional and guest were served with free drink.
Well worth ticket price (25 euro ) and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to my friends.
"my favorite museu in Barca, art changes often and Friday night jazz is a blast!"

we bought a pass for this musee as its small and interesting and fun. the art is modern and exhbits are changed often to keep it interesting. Nice intimate spot for classical music on Saturdays and Jazz/blues on Fridays at 6 for a very reasonable fee. friendly staff and nice cava available at the shows.
We had smoothies, salad, quiche and everything was great! For the amount of food it was little bit expensive, but still cheaper than classic restaurants. If you want to rest there and plan your next steps - there is no signal inside, so plan ahead :)
After a disappointing dinner on our last night in Barcelona, we looked up great dessert places. This came up and was in the Born area, which was our favorite. From the moment we walked in, the lights were swinging, music playing and people having a great time. The bartenders were very friendly and the drinks and crepes were great. Highly...
We were staying at the Hotel and ate here on the first night. My partner is limited by allergies but the staff ( I think our waitress was called Ava ??) were fantastic. dishes were adapted by the kitchen, beautifully presented and tasted great. Great room, intimate, polished and great service.
the rooms were very clean! The AC worked well. Loved that the toilet and shower were in separate areas - one of the few in my travels where I didn't have to worry about ruining the toilet paper when I took a shower! The staff were pleasant for the most part. The food was good. The pool area was nice...
This is a brilliant hotel - stylish, great service, smart rooms, comfortable, large beds, delicious breakfast, great location and excellent facilities - the swimming pool is great in the Summer and the laundry facilities are great for travellers!
Awesome service, rooms, breakfast, lounge etc. good location and a perfect hotel overall. The wifi router and bicycles really came in handy for ous when traveling. I recommend this hotell to everyone looking for a perfect hotel in a central location.
Grand Central was a truly excellent hotel. I rarely travel and spend any significant amount of time on the property of the hotel I'm staying at, instead preferring to explore. We made an exception for the few nights we stayed at this hotel because the rooftop was amazing, with full bar service / restaurant, 360 views of the city and...
Afrer visiting the Grand Hotel roof terrace the night before we wandered into the Picasso hotel for a break and discovered this hidden rooftop terrace gem. Much better than the Grand terrace this is a great place to relax and enjoy the views. Lovely service with reasonably priced tapas and snacks.
