This is the neighbourhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendour, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
"An art collection to make you gasp and cheap cafe with Eiffel tower views"

This museum was one of the highlights of our Paris trip and I would recommend it as a trip for all the family. The exhibits will make even the most disinterested art viewer gasp.
The huge Duffy mural room is breathtaking and the Matisse paintings wonderful , but it has one of the best and comprehensive collections of modern art...
The hotel is the best I have stayed at for the price in Paris. The receptionist Adel is also fantastic - great service, always accommodating and always happy and positive. It makes a difference! The breakfast is also lovely and very comfortable rooms.
I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!
This Fashion museum only houses temporary exhibitions.
We went to see the Dalida exhibit, which was very well presented, you could almost touch the garments.
Even though the museum is rather small, it is well organised and run efficiently.
What a fantastic stay at the Shangri-La Paris. From the moment the professional chauffeur picked us up at the Gare du Nord, to the personal greeting we had at the hotel on arrival, it was fantastic throughout. The personal service we received from the Guest Relations team was absolutely second to none and they made our stay truly magical. The...

A stone's throw from the Eiffel Tower, yet a beautifully quiet environment, with all of Parisian nightlife and shopping just a few steps away. This is a fantastic hotel, and one I will book every time I go to Paris. The hotel was undergoing renovation, but in true French style, it was beautifully and carefully done, with no upset to...
Welcoming hotel in good location near to Eiffel Tower and OECD where I was working - excellent Kaiten sushi place a couple of doors away - and not too far from Ba Zinc for good beer and food - highly recommended
The room we stayed in was nice and comfortable. Daniel on the front desk was very helpful, when checking in, he arranged to have our bed separated into twin beds (mother and adult daughter). When we went out he helped us with a map and directions while giving his opinion on the best routes to take. Very friendly man!

Le Metropolitan and its staff are something special. Even before our stay began, Kahina was helpful & responsive in discussing plans and schedules and great places to eat over an iteration of emails. We knew we'd arrive earlier than standard check-in on Valentine's Day with a need to rest. We had expected to arrive around 11am, so Kahina helped plan...
