Nice surroundings service appalling

Had a great weekend here. The room staff and facilities were very good. But if you like your food the dinner in the Garden Restaurant will leave you hungry and the price of drink £3.15 for a can of juice and £11.95 for 250ml glass of wine will bring a tear to your eye.

Dear Alopeciajeanie, Thank you for taking the time in writing a review about Macdonald Forest Hills Hotel and Resort. I appreciate your comments regarding the price of drinks in our bar. I have done some investigating. We only sell one type of soft drink in a can and it cost far les then the price you state above. I have also checked and these prices are well advertised in all of marketing material and these prices are reflected on the till when guests are charged. I am not sure where th the price you quote comes from. I agree that we do sell wine by the glass for this amount (and more) but this is reflected in the quality. I would like to add that our house wine is half this price by the glass. I have spoken to our beverage team to ensure that this is relayed to all of our future guests. I am sorry if any confusion occurred when you were with us. It is however reassuring to read that you had a “great weekend” – We hope you return soon.
