Dear Nancy G, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of the New Courtyard Marathon and sharing your experience. Our team is very passionate about being able to provide the most exceptional service to our guests that stay with us as we want to make it a memorable experience they will not forget. Unfortunately, we have fallen short of our goal during your recent stay. The hotel as it is setup has a very limited number of room types. Not all of our rooms have a balcony, the additional upgrade fee is determined if the room has a balcony as well as having a side view of the Bay. Please accept our sincere apology on how this was explained, we are currently reviewing our policy for future guests.
