I am very glad to read that you really enjoyed your stay at Boscolo Budapest and you were amazed of the architecture of the hotel. The five-story building is the showcase of Italian Renaissance art reflecting eclectic style, which was built between 1890 and 1894 by the New York Life Insurance Company and it was constructed by the plans of architects Alajos Hauszmann, Flóris Korb and Alajos Giergl. The behold New York Cafe’s breathtaking beauty is a journey back in time. Coffee culture took hold of Budapest in the 16th century during the Turkish occupation and it flourished during the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the 19th century, there were about 500 coffee houses in Budapest with the New York Café having been the most exclusive of them. It is always very important to us that our guests feel welcome and comfortable during their stay at our hotel.
