Hi goyourownway Thanks for your extensive review with lots of info, but we just need to correct an important inaccuracy in your comments. New Years Eve is very popular at the hostel and bookings open earlier in the year (info on our website). There are two options that people can book - either just accommodation, or accommodation and a ticket for the NYE event on the terrace. Only hostel guests can buy these tickets - no one else can - so it is entirely a guest occasion. We have it as a ticketed event as the number of people allowed on the rooftop under our licensing is restricted, and the tickets include food, some drinks and entertainment - what people are looking for on NYE. This is a hostel, not a hotel, so some things are different - we have a large self catering kitchen for instance!
