The hotel has a long and storied history. Apparently this hotel was where John and Yoko took their iconic photo together. Unfortunately, that is not a compelling enough reason to stay here. The rooms are in dire need of renovation, the bathrooms (even in the Junior Suites)…

We are glad they took great care of you and were able to help you throughout your stay. Of all the fascinating tales it has to tell, Hilton Amsterdam is probably best known for being the home of the famous John Lennon and Yoko Ono ‘bed-in for peace’ in 1969 that you mentioned. Did you get the chance to see the Suite yourself? We are sorry not all our services and facilities met your approval and for any inconvenience this caused you, we would like to apologize. It is unfortunate you found your bed to be uncomfortable and that it affected the quality of your sleep.
