Thank you for your review and compliments regarding the quality of the food. I am sorry that you did not find the service acceptable. Unbeknown to the property the Caledonian railway was running its Thomas the tank engine weekend, when the train passengers got to Dun station they then boarded a shuttle bus run by the Basin rambler bus group. Nobody bothered to tell us in advance and as a direct result the staff in the café were overwhelmed with customers. If you check out the main House of Dun trip advisor page you will find many compliments regarding the quality of the food and customer service. Once we knew of the problem we did act quickly to resolve and also laid on extra staff for the Sunday.
