- RobyncakesMelbourne, Australia268 contributionsBest!!I did the tour here recently, such an amazing experience! Does involve a fair amount of stairs. Very worthwhile experience to see the locker room used by Michael Jordan and Babe Ruth, learn about the history of the cubs and the ground. Absolute highlightVisited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 10 October 2023
- Kevin BMount Juliet, Tennessee3,902 contributionsGreat ballparkMy wife and I are Yankees fans, but we're also baseball fans in general and we've been making our way to all of the MLB ballparks (this was 14/30). Wrigley has always been our most anticipated ballpark given its history and we were not disappointed. The ballpark is amazing and they've been able to renovate and keep it modernized while keeping all the classic elements of the ballpark. Our seats were comfortable and our view was great and the food and drink selection was very good as well. It's in a great part of town and it was just a pleasure to see a ballgame here. We'd 100% come back for a Cubs game whenever we're in town!Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 19 December 2023
- Patrick L7 contributionsA must do on your baseball bucket list.Booked tour directly through MLB/Cubs. Great trip through its history. Must do for any baseball fan. Learned about the rooftop bleachers and visitors clubhouse. Tour guide did not have amplification so it was hard to hear him at times. Had a snack at neat local spot called Wrigleyville dogs (on N Clark) before the tour then had a larger meal at Murphys Bleachers tavern (right behind centerfield) on corner of Waveland/Sheffield. Great place with lots of memorabilia.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 March 2024
- Nathan SPennsylvania83 contributionsA field so niceI had to visit it twice, big Cubs fan here got to Wrigley for the first time to see a night game for my birthday and loved it. As a matter of fact I enjoyed it so much we also decided to hit a day game the next day. The stadium seemed clean, had nice shops to get your cubs gear and plenty of stores and bars around the outside in Wrigleyville as well. It truly is a destination ballpark that you should visit if you have the chance.Visited May 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 26 May 2024
- hockeyaw19Marlborough, Massachusetts674 contributionsMade it to the Friendly ConfinesThe friendly confines of Wrigley Field are a must for any baseball fans. Being from Boston, it felt quite like Fenway - old school, with narrow walk ways that take you back in time. The outside wrigley area is full of shops and vendors hocking goods and food. There was a nice little 'party park' called Gallegher's Way adjacent to the stadium that had activities for kids and statues of former greats. The game itself started around 130pm and we were in section 321 first row. The climb up was a bit taxing on my older father and the steps down to the row were steep. The view was great and you're certainly in foul ball territory as several dotted around us. The only challenge was a mid-May game and the sun being behind us meant we were engulfed in shade. The shade along with a constant wind made for a pretty chilly event. The concession stands were a directly behind our section and we would go out there and warm up a bit when needed. Wrigley, like Fenway, is not cheap - from ticket to food. Bring your wallet.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 8 June 2024
- DisneybusPittsgrove, New Jersey906 contributionsIt could be, it might be... It is! A great tour of America's iconic ballparkMy wife and I did the tour one morning while the Cubs were on the road. The tour was wonderful, our hosts were excellent, and the history rekindled nostalgia from another era. The park has gone under major renovations and substantial upgrades from yesterday. Its beautiful! We progressed slowly around the park taking our photos and sitting or stopping several times to learn about the park in its current pristine condition as well as of course its history. Stops included the bleachers where we learned about the bleacher bumbs, the basket, and of course the ivy. We saw and learned about the famous Waveland Avenue and its rooftop bleachers, and walked on the field where we got an ivy leaf souvenir. The tour progressed to the press box, then ended up in the visitor's dugout. Our age and legs couldn't take some of the ramps so Larry was kind to take us up in an elevator; surprising there were no escalators in the park. Not being a baseball fan, my wife was skeptical of taking the tour but really enjoyed the day. We toured Dodger stadium last year, now still need to visit Fenway! Who knew both Al Capone and John Dillinger were Cubs fans!Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 June 2024
- Shackleton87Topeka, Kansas56 contributionsA Baseball Fan's Must!An unforgettable baseball experience. This was my son's big request on our trip to Chicago. Crowd was involved, people were friendly, and the environment is a truly unique experience. I've attended games it many major league stadiums, and this is definitely the most unique experience. The "game presentation" isn't quite as involved as some that I have seen, but it doesn't need to be. My only criticism is the same as most ballparks - ridiculous concession prices. $7.99 for a bottle of soda? Also, be patient about exiting - it took us awhile to get out, but that's part of the experience!Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 10 June 2024
- Toodles4now69 contributionsHighly Recommend a Tour of Wrigley FieldLet me start by stating that I am not a big baseball fan. I mention that because being a fan of baseball was not my motivation to go on this tour. That being said, this was probably one of my favourite things to do in Chicago. Our guide was so engaging and informative. Wrigley Field is historic and iconic. I loved everything about this tour - from watching the grounds keepers, to sitting in various seats, learning about the culture of the bleachers, to sitting in the press box, to going to the dugout and team room. I feel highly motivated to return to Chicago to attend a Cubs game to see it all in action. Plus, I would really like to return when we have more time to explore the area around Wrigley Field.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 June 2024
- RandallWest Des Moines, Iowa119 contributionsCubbies gameThis is stadium number 7 for me. I love this ballpark from a design perspective. It’s kinda like an underground city where all the food is. Then you climb stairs to get to your seats. We sat in section 112 which was nice and shaded from the sun for a 120pm start time. Food was good, not as many options as some other games I’ve been to but taste of food was great unlike the twins ballpark food. This is a ballpark I highly recommend. Plus it’s historical. Cubs lost to the cardinals 3-0 but still a great day.Visited June 2024Travelled with familyWritten 15 June 2024
- EdRocksterMebane, North Carolina1,468 contributionsGreat to finally see a game in personGreat facility. Great team. As expected, expensive food and drinks. Maybe too many options. Popcorn surprisingly hard to find. Chicago hotdogs and Coke Zero, too. Probably the best deal, at 23 bucks, the helmet of nachos. Surprisingly huge and surprisingly tasty. Four people shared them , and each ate their fill. Ramps cut the need for most steps to sections. Aisles between sections, pretty steep for seniors and injured folks. Would have been better if the Cubs had won. 😉Visited July 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 3 July 2024
