One Of The Largest Dali Collections In The World
Definitely a must if you’re visiting St. Petersburg. I’ve been a fan of Dali for years and when I found out this was one of the largest Dali collections in the world, I knew I had to check it out. The museum has a parking lot that you can pay $10 for or you can park in the surrounding area and walk in. I have been to museums from one side of the country to the other and I have to say that the ticket price of $29 is one of the steepest I have encountered. That’s not even counting the $15 add-on for the “Dali Alive 360º” experience. So if you’re going, make sure you stay for awhile get the full experience. I went on a Sunday and it was packed, so plan to get there early when you go. I really enjoyed the design of the museum itself, almost like it was taken straight out of one of his paintings. There are so many pieces to see, from the paintings to the statues to the installations. Check out “Lincoln in Dalivision” from up close but make sure to step back and view it from afar. The entire museum gives you a true sense of his eccentric genius. If you’re a fan of the surrealism master, then the Dali museum is one you cannot miss.
Thank you for such detailed feedback. We appreciate your response and hope you will come again.

    Expensive, but interesting museum
The Museum has outstanding paintings by Dali and there are very good tours available. However, it is not large, and expensive for most folks. Parking is $10, and for two to enter it cost us $56 with one in a party eligible for a senior discount. We came away appreciating Dali much more than before.
Thank you for sharing with us. Your feedback helps create even better experiences, and we're glad you gained a deeper appreciation for Dalí.

    Memorable day trip
I loved the ten minute movie at the beginning. It really helped me get a sense of who Dali was and why he did what he did. Walking through the exhibit was interesting. It showed the chronology of his work, from early conventional painting to his more surreal works. The view of the marina and bay is stunning. I was Also impressed with the gift shop, even though the items were quite pricey. I must say, I was disappointed that my wristband DID NOT OFFER ACCESS to the Dali 360 experience. It was another $15. We walked away. Overall, a good experience.

    Interesting
A nice museum one would not expect to find it here but is worth a visit as is quite nice to see, not very big but still. Only downside is very expensive 29 usd per person. Too much for what they show.

    Must See
Can't say enough how good this place is! My family and I were pleasantly surprised and deeply impressed by the short film. It explained surrealism, Dali's roles as an artist and writer during WWI and WWII, and his transformation when he emigrated to the US. You'll be thoroughly delighted by the collection, as well as the fascinating AR-enhanced portraits.

    Stunning Building Houses Dali Art
If you love Salvador Dali this is the museum to go to. Not only is the building unique and beautiful but the quantity of Dali paintings is amazing. You can climb the winding staircase, take the elevator to the exhibit on the third floor, or have a snack on the first level. You can use your phone to get descriptions of the numerous paintings. There is a small outside area that leads to the Dali Immersion that was closed when we went. Their expanded gift store is everything Dali.

    Wonderful experience!
This museum has stunning views. Though smaller than I expected, it houses key art works of Dali and a few other impressionists. Excellent guides and the small restaurant is great for coffee and snacks. The volunteer guide took us to the garden area and did a great job. Overall, a wonderful experience!

    Less Than I Expected
Please don’t get me wrong if you read the title of my review … the Dali is an incredible place to visit and the art on display is well worth seeing. I just felt like there was a lot of unused space here that could provide more space for more of Dali’s work. When I left, I felt like I was wanting to see more than I did. That is my reason for 4 stars. Dali was an interesting man and you see that in his art. The cafe here had some pretty decent options for a quick bite, too. However, I had tea and could not get a free refill. I can understand that on a bottled drink or alcohol, but come on… unsweetened tea?? The gift shop here is of good size and has a very nice assortment of items. If you have a museum membership that is at another museum on NARM’s list, you can get in free here unless they have a special exhibit at the time … then you just pay their smaller extra fee due to that. Nice place to visit and I’d recommend it to others.

Make this one of your art visits
Throughly enjoyed Dali’s earlier work. We did not know he was an Impressionist artist and had such artwork early in his career. Also I was unaware he was Cubist artist for a while. I much preferred his earlier works. The spiral staircase becoming a sculpture at the top end was truly a nice modern addition to a museum representing a Surrealist Artist
