Spectacular Nightly Fireworks Display at the Magic Kingdom
Nightly fireworks show that takes place above Cinderella's castle at the Magic Kingdom. Although I miss its predecessor Wishes, which I thought had much better music, Happily Ever After is still spectacular and includes amazing projections onto the front of the castle. Best viewed from Main Street or from the central hub area. You're going to miss quite a bit if you try to watch from one of the "lands". If the fireworks are a high priority for you, you will want to stake out the best positions about 1 hour before the start. Look for the tape on the sidewalks and find a place where no one can block your view. Disney cast members don't mess around letting anyone stand in those marked off areas. You may find something reasonably good up to 30 min before the start but after that you will be scrambling. I personally find the fireworks an excellent time to hop on some high demand rides like Big Thunder as wait times drop when everyone is pulled away for the show.

    Mind-blowing
As your typical grumpy, cynical middle aged man it really surprised me to say that this was phenomenal and an absolute highlight of our trip to Orlando's parks Its a spectacular display of fireworks and projections that really encapsulated the whole Disney experience for me and my family. My two girls (10 and 4 years old ) loved every moment of our time and the Happily Ever After display capped everything off. A must-see.

    Wonderful Show
This fireworks show was awesome. It was my favorite nighttime show in the parks. The music is stirring, the fireworks are great, and the castle projections are beautiful. There are also projections on the buildings along main street. All together it makes an amazing experience. It's definitely worth seeing, don't miss it!

Sight to Behold Amidst the Chaos
Lots of park goers . Long walk stretches from one pavilion to another while enduring the heat. It is summertime in Florida, and it is quite hot indeed. After the long lines waiting for your preferred ride , comes the icing on the cake, the lovely enticing fireworks. Enjoy admiring its beauty , recording the thrill of sight and sound with your smartphones. After which the struggle to go back faster. Take the ferries, it felt more convenient instead of the monorails unless you have a specific Disney hotel as a destination or return point .

    Still great
Did this in august 24 with family .. got into the park late and after doing the tron ride we went to watch the fireworks which start at 9-20 pm . The crowds are massive and if you don’t get near to the castle reasonably early it’s just a lottery if you get a good view . We got there thirty mins early , it was massively busy by then but we got close to Main Street and had a good view. The display is really good and worth seeing once. I saw wishes many years ago and it’s probably better this time round ..

    Delivers against (very high) expectations!
Have visited Disney in multiple occasions, but had never stayed for the fireworks. Firstly, it's amazing how much prettier Magic Kingdom is at night. The combination of the festive environment + the fact that the darkness hides some of the more "dated" aspects of MK make it a very enjoyable sight to see. The reduced crowds are also a plus. When it comes to the fireworks, I was wondering if they would be able to live up to the hype. And they sure did!! Together with HP Wizarding World (which comes in #1), this one of the few true musts when visiting the Florida parks.

    Great experience
The fireworks are amazing. It gets crowded quickly so you have to find a good spot at least 2 hours before the show. The best spots are closer to the castle but further back Main Street is okay but there will probably being taller people blocking you. The advantage of being further back is a quicker exit out of the park when the show is done.

How to Watch the Fireworks Show
The crowd for the fireworks show was huge when we visited Magic Kingdom on a peak weekend. My friend insisted that we had to see the castle projections up close. Almost two hours before the fireworks show, we secured a "front row" unobstructed view of the castle in the area between the front pit at the foot of the castle stage and the Mickey and Walt Disney statue. During the fireworks show, Disney cast members keep clear pathways that cut through the crowd. Position yourself on these marked pathways (marked by paint or tape), so that no one will stand in front of you - no tall park guests or guests holding their children on their shoulders will block your view. Also - do not stand in the closed-in area directly in front of the castle. The area is too close to the front to enjoy the full panoramic view of the fireworks behind the castle. Even where we stood, it was too close to really appreciate the fireworks. My friend said the best place to view the fireworks show was near the Mickey - Walt Disney statue but on the day we visited, that area was full of projection and entertainment equipment. Worst is that at around 1/2 hour before the fireworks show, the Disney cast members asked all of us to stand up - we watched everyone in the pit area being pushed forward to make room for the latecomers who stood behind them. So now guests who had staked their position 2-3 hours had a worse view of the castle and were packed even more tightly in that area. The fireworks program really is an incredible show that was much more than just fireworks. Would we ever do this again? Probably not but if the fireworks show is on the top of your list, hopefully these tips might make the experience more enjoyable.
