    Very entertaining visit!
Very entertaining and interesting visit. The Aquarium is well run and has friendly staff. Displays are kept in good condition and are very informative. There's lots to do for the kids, but there are also plenty of attractions for anyone. The shop has a good selection of goodies. The location is also convenient, and there are restaurants and shops within walking distance. The tourist bus stops at the Aquarium.

    Go here no matter what
I recommend that tourists and tour guides put this on there list to Cape town. Even great with children there is a snack and drink bar near the big view goes great with drinking coffee . good location in Victoria and Alfred Waterfront or also referred to as V&A waterfront .And real life penguins which might go extinct in 2030 .

    Cool little aquarium
Was a cool little aquarium specializing in creatures in the waters in and around SA. The large tank, penguin area, and shark tank were particularly interesting. Definitely worth stopping by for an hour or two. Great spot for kids though was still interesting to me even though I didn’t have my kids with me on this trip.

    Enchanting
We took loads of photos and had a lovely time learning about different sea creatures. We were most excited to see the penguins and the sharks and ended up enchanted by the jellyfish and stingrays and the turtles swimming over us in the walkway. It was beautiful.

    Nice aquarium around the V&S
Nice aquarium around the V&A waterfront. The weather wasn't great in Cape Town, hence decided for an activity that was sheltered. The aquarium have a range of aquatic animals, along with specific activities during the day that is listed on a timetable as you enter. The most impressive display is the large tank which houses a range of sealife, the most impressive being a whale shark! Though the aquarium is nice, it was a bit smaller than I had anticipated so we were pretty much done within an hour and a bit surprised when we had reached the end. However, it is still a great place to visit especially when the weather isn't too great!

This aquarium is worth the trip
What a wonderful Aquarium. The expanse of sea animals and information is amazing. The jelly fish blow my mind and were very well displayed. It was a delight to see the penguins walk back from their swim and the cape penguins be fed. In addition we did the "behind the scenes" tour which was fantastic. Our wonderful guide was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and so much fun showing us the tanks, the feed, what makes the aquarium tick and how they keep it going every day of the year. Would recommend this tour.

    Nice rainy day activity
On a dreary Cape Town day, we opted to stick in city central and take the kiddos to the aquarium. It is nice sized, but definitely not the most fascinating aquarium we have been to. We got lucky and decided to skip out on one of the talks...by doing so, we were ahead of the crowd and caught the keepers herding the penguins around the open facility...they went RIGHT by us - coolest part of the experience!

Loved the behind the scenes tour!
Spent a great morning here on my last day in Cape Town. When I found out that an hour long behind the scenes tour (which includes admission to the aquarium) was just a little bit more than admission alone, I signed up! Turns out I was the only one who had booked a behind the scenes tour that morning, so ended up with a private tour! Loved getting to see the hard work that goes into keeping the aquarium up and running! Afterwards, I took my time wandering through the exhibits. Given the aquarium's focus, I got to admire a few species that I'd never seen before...and the kelp forest exhibit was really unique. Loved that they have a little coffee cart near one of their main exhibits--loved enjoying a drink while admiring the sea life!

    Very enjoyable trip
It was a bit of a rainy day, so opted for the aquarium. Haven't been to one for years, but this was very good. Well laid out, plenty to see, whether you want the detail, or just a general overview. Really enjoyed it.
