This is one of the must visit place for tourist when at jaipur. You can cover this place with jantar mantar & Hawa mahal. Its just 5 min walk away. Also within the vicinity of Shopping market. Overall this is learning of history for all. Its place used from 16th century till date it has prince staying in it with his family. Thus one of the attraction to be covered with all other. Need not specially plan as it will hardly take 30 min - 1 hr. Tickets are 300rs per person which i feel is too high.

The palace of Jaipur is still occupied by the royal family, however it’s a large site so there’s still plenty to see. It’s close to the astronomical observatory so they can be visited on the same trip. Once you pass through the ornate gatehouse you are in a large square with many of the buildings terracotta colour. The pair of huge silver vases which the maharaja took to England holding sacred water from the Ganges are quite a sight. As are the magnificently attired guards who are happy to pose for a price. There are various courtyards to explore and a couple of museums in the palace. The military museum has lots of interesting various arms, and the art gallery is also good. No pictures allowed in either. Well worth a visit.

Very costly as compared to other Indian palaces. A private enterprise hence not that worthy. However peacock door, weapon gallery and some part of palace is really good. But cost spoils the fun.

In order to keep the lights on, the prince of Rajasthan has opened up his palace for viewing. You pass through spacious courtyards and fanciful open air structures. The building has few areas to hide from the sun, do plan your visit for earlier in the day.

This palace has amazing history. Make sure you take a guide to enjoy this place even more. There's a restaurant and a bar right inside the cafe for you to enjoy right after the tour. It is slightly on the expensive side though

This is quite pricey to enter compared to the other tourist attractions in Jaipur but I would recommend going. Think courtyards, gardens, buildings, an interesting museum, a bazaar and more. I really enjoyed exploring the impressive City Palace. So much going on. Opposite Jantar Mantar so you can do both together. Suggest doing the City Palace first.

The City Palace, Jaipur is a royal residence and former administrative headquarters of the rulers of the Jaipur State in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This palace was built during Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh reign. The palace is still well maintained unlike the Amer Fort.

Excellent tour and highlight of Jaipur. We thought we’d only be in and out in an hour. We laid our entrance and went in with our mandatory guide. We toured the palace courtyard and saw a few palace rooms. Then we had tea on the courtyard terrace overlooking the palace at sunset. Guide was very knowledgeable and tour was very enjoyable. We also have some amazing photos of the beautiful palace. Well worth a visit if you’re in Jaipur.

The regular visit does not include the most beautiful rooms (like the blue room you see on Instagram), for that you'll have to get yourself the Royal Tour (4000rps if I'm correct). The tour includes a guide (that you'll still have to tip at the end). They don't rush you through it though and since it's expensive, there are just a few people. The blue room is obviously not as blue as shown on Insta since everyone increased the colour profile of their photos. It's a nice room, and the other 2 are nice too. Up to you to decide whether it's worth the price.

We really enjoyed our trip to the City Palace. I had no idea how huge it was until we kept going up floor after floor. Each room is ornately decorated with a different color scheme on each floor. The tile work, carpets, and architectural details were stunning. I especially liked the room with mirrors that looked like thousands of stars when a candle is lit.
