Managed to book a hotel which was very near to temple (approximately 100m). Tips for foreigners. U can save the hassle of joining the long queue of people by visiting Temple Trust office and purchase a ticket for foreigners. It’s around 550 rupees. The office is located close to Gate 4 of the temple. With the ticket, u will be guided into the temple by a tour guide and you can see the Shiva jothylinga within a very short time.

Temple has given all type of facilities, don't get trapped outside the temple. Kindly leave all your unnecessary things at the hotel or in car before entering theb temple. Security will never allow you to enter with Sharp objects, Cosmetics, hair brush, Any Paan Masala, Any kind of Digital Gadgets. Even you cannot carry any type of God figures inside the temple. Just carry your money and passport or id cards. You can buy Sugam Darshan tickets which are easily available at the helpdesk near Temple. Sugam Darshan is allowed from 6 AM till 6 PM. Keeping shoes, Buying flowers and even Prasad is possible in Temple premises. At the first enterance gate Mobile will be allowed which is Shankarcharya Chowk not beyond this poiny. This also gives your VIP entry (que-less) Sugam cost Rs 300 per person and Rudra Abhishek cost Rs 450 per family of 5. If you are more than 1, cost wise Rudra Abhishek is effective. Rudra Abhishek is done outside the main shrine . There is a dedicated area inside temple premises (but outside Shiv idol) and the milk flows into the Shiv idol via a connecting outlay. There is an Annapurna mata temple inside the premise, giving rice. It is believed that keeping that rice in your home ensures your family is never hungry . Vishalakshi (one-eyed Lordess Parvati) is a little away from the temple, but do visit . It is one of the 52 shaktipeeth. A little difficult to find the spot though. There is a boating facility near the temple (at ghat)

Beautiful temple on holy river Ganga with a rich history. Millions of people are visiting every week and infrastructure is unable to sustain it. Temple is greatly improved but it is not accessible by people who are disabled and elderly. Very poor management compared to Ram temple in Ayodhya. I’m very disappointed by lack of consideration for elderly people but I also understand difficulties of the changes required due to geography and lack of space around it. Removing current residents and businesses is not politically feasible. The holy temple is outstanding and I would love to go again but I am over with the difficulties my parents faced when I visited the temple. I’m delighted with the electronic version of worship this temple and all mahadev’s shivlings across India for Rs. 150. I hope leadership and trust running this temple could accomplish the needs with care and dignity.

Blessed to get the chance to visit the world famous Kashi Temple which is also called as Golden Temple. During weekends and special days the crowd is immense and a record 5 lakh people had visited on one particular Sunday. Plan your visit well in advance and book online VIP tickets which will save you some few hours of waiting and the pandit accompanying you will also explain all details of the temple. Mobiles are not allowed inside so plan your visit accordingly to reach your driver/ family members

Very vibration and auspicious place. Crowd management could have been better. All attention was on accommodating person with special pass costing 350rs/person. Normal person kept waiting in non moving que for hours. Despite one SDM managing crowd with a mic and hundreds of security staff. Felt bad for general people waiting in scorching heat in non moving line despite broad passage of new corridor.

On our first day in Varanasi, we had a thrilling experience of Ganga River boat ride and the magnificent Ganga Aarti celebrations as arranged by our travel Agency. The next day we had Shri Kashi Vishwanath darshan as we had booked online Abhisheka. We had a very smooth process, the designated Panditji took us and performed the abhisheka and we had a darshan of Lord Vishwanath & Mata Annapurneshwari devi. A blissful spiritual experience. Later we visited Shri Kaalbhairav temple, Sankat Mochan Hanuman temple, Maa Durga temple, Tulsi Manasa temple. In the afternoon we visited BHU, the new Shri Vishwanath temple and later visited Sarnath to see the Buddha temple. We also visited the weavers society, where Banares sarees etc are quite competitive. Overall, we totally enjoyed our trip to Varanasi and the memories often flash back on our visit.

Spritual touring needs to follow some norms. World over it's the foremost travel but in India, even though there are hundreds of Temples associated with the Acts of God's but there are also equally huge numbers of visitors. One gets a feeling of being pushed over through it in seconds, not even minutes. I visited both Kashi Vishwanath temple, though earlier visited many times but this one was the costliest as well as the quickest, and also the Ram Lalla's at Ayodhya, another pushover tour. One spends days to visit such places but can't even spend a few minutes before the Lord inorder to open up his mind n soul. What's the purpose then of going. Henceforth I will have to evaluate these questions. Thanks
