Great tour of the fort with a knowledgable guide who took us through the optimal route and explained the main attractions of the fort. It is well worth to take the govt. appointed guides who will make your tour of the fort that much more fulfilling with their tidbits of information. Several uniquely decorated rooms apart from the Sheesh Mahal, definitely worth the time and the ticket price. If the fort authorities perform some restoration work on the balconies and courtyards it would be even more breathtaking to see in its original colour and glory.

Fort is truly magnificent in imagination, execution, foresightedness of erstwhile rulers. Takes about 1-2hrs to do justice to one’s trip to Jodhpur. But for this attraction there’s really nothing worth one’s time in Jodhpur. Wish more wheel chair facilities, personnel to attend to differently abled and senior citizens exist. Ticket counter can be better organised. Usual swarming of guides soliciting the business, hangs around the counters. Cost effective cafe would be better in the premises. Prepaid Tuk Tuk counters and cab counters would be required. Overall, the only reason to visit Jodhpur.

Mehrangarh fort of Jodhpur, it is a must-see fort in Rajasthan to understand Rajputana culture and the history of Rathores. It is beautiful and well managed fort by trust. must visit place of Jodhpur. It’s astonishingly beautiful. The fort is awesome and speaks about its golden time. You need atleast 3 hours to cover all the major points. Lots of things to see here. The ticket price is 200/- per person. Totally worth the price. The carvings made on the jodhpuri stone are simply mind-blowing. The jharokhaa for queens, meeting halls, kings bedroom, small museum are worth to watch. At the backyard there is garden, temple and lots of canons are placed there. You can enjoy the blue city view from the top of the fort. Please do take a guide, the guide provides good history about the fort. The guides are government certified.

A historical fort which has been well preserved, beautifully maintained and tries to make the visit as easy as possible. The elevator, only fort to have one, makes it easy even for people who has mobility problems. Entry fee for Indians is INR 200 and elevator costs another INR 50. Apart from the different mahals, most of which beautifully decorated, the court provides a bird's eye view of Jodhpur and its famous blue houses. Chamunda Mata temple area has the best view. There are a few eating options inside but we found the Cafe Mehran to be overpriced with ordinary food. The fort also looks great from outside particularly during evening when the lights are on. For those interested in photography and would like to photograph the fort and Jaswant Thada together, go to Rao Jodha Desert Park and visit the Blue Trail along with a guide.

Among history and 12 floors. For the convenience of tourists a lift has been installed which is paid. It will take you to the top most floor and then you can come down while observing things. Very well maintained place. Around an hour in this place, You should tour guides. The ticket costs around 200 rupees worth the visit.

The Mehrangarh palace is truly impressive, well maintained structure. This should be the top item to visit in your jodhpur itinerary. Deserves ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐ Reducing one star because of extremely underwhelming experience with one of their "official" guide. In hindsight, it was a bad mistake to opt for one as they rush through the entire experience, to get on with the next customer. I don't know if their treatment of foreigners is any different..if it is, it's only in hope of getting a handy tip. Also, once you complete the tour, it's not possible to get back in the fort. I missed a few photo ops inside the fort due to this idiot rushing me around despite repeated requests. Recommend to instead get an audio guide and explore at your own place.

Fabulously well maintained, this mammoth structure has a day full of treasures to discover within it. Architecturally it’s a marvel, with its tall ramparts that surround the entire area. Walking through, one gets to feel the prowler and the safety that it gave to the people who inhabited it. A good thing is there’s an elevator installed that takes you right till the podium level for people who cannot climb. The main residential buildings are delightful and detailed till the hilt. The artefacts within are extremely interesting too. Weapons, garments, perfume bottles, furniture, and loads of royal curios. The keepers of the fort, are all dressed in the royal workers suits and form a good visual themselves. Large moustaches and facial hir, topped by the colourful Rajasthani turban. They are friendly and answer to your queries about history and the architecture as well. At the far end is the grand white temple. The temple itself is not as interesting as the view from it. By far the most magnificent view of the blue and White City can be viewed here from the temple window. The layers and layers of local houses, form a perfect contemporary painting of sorts. Absolute magic. Depending on how much you’d like to go in detail, one can easily spend two hours to half a day over here and not get bored. Definitely the most prime monument to visit in Jodhpur.

It is a very huge fort, which I had been longing to see for a long time. It was much more beautiful than what I had heard. It is a clean and neat fort. I feel very proud to see it. The city of Jodhpur looks very beautiful from the fort. Mehran Garh is a must visit when you come to Jodhpur. see
