I had a wonderful experience getting a shirt tailored at Asparagus. Aji kindly accommodated me and arranged for the garment to be finished before I left Varkala, including alterations, and was very patient while going through the design process. The shop has an amazing range of fabrics to choose from, the garments are high quality, and overall is exceptionally good value. I highly recommend Asparagus for tailoring while in Varkala.

Very impressed with Asparagus. We had a number of outfits made in Cochin. We decided to have more made in Varkala. Asparagus was recommended and we were so pleased. The tailoring and materials were fabulous. A step above what we had done in Cochin. We were so impressed when we came to pick up and pay. The price was less as they used less material and less time - very honest. Would highly recommend - we were so impressed my husband bought a shirt and I had another one made!

We had 2 shirts and a replica favourite summer dress made. The shirts were customised to our size and preference from styles Asparagus had on the rails. And we were able to select our fabrics from a lovely range of plain and patterned block printed linens, cottons and silks. But what made it really, really great was the time and care we received from the owner and tailors. Not pushy but helpful, patient and attentive service. And we’re delighted with the finished results. Great value and great experience. All part of the Kerala adventure for us. Thank you Asparagus ❤️🤗

This shop is an absolute gem in Varkala. My husband and I were visiting from the USA and I had read that Asparagus would be a good source for artisan fabrics. It did not disappoint! The shop has a gorgeous selection of silk, linen, and different weights and styles of cotton such as khadi, fine muslin, and sateen, all of excellent quality. They also make beautiful custom clothing to order. I bought several meters of fabric and both my husband and I had shirts made. Aji and his colleague provided great service and were even able to finish our shirts in a single day before we left town. Highly recommended!!!

A great yoga set, a really friendly welcome, he and his tailor do things with precision, we are not in a rush. They were unlucky enough to have 2 blackouts and had to finish late but brought everything to the homestay, made try(at 10:30 anyway!). Really exceptional people. It's well worth a visit and the fabrics are beautiful. Thanks to them

We stayed in Varkala for a week and had many dresses and shirts made by Asparagus. The fabrics are beautiful and organic and Ajimon is such a nice and lovely person and so thorough with everything. We can really recommend a visit to his shop in Varkala.

You can be custom-made here from hand-woven and hand-printed fabrics clothing. The fabrics feel beautiful and above all they smell good because they are made with natural colors. And aji and his tailor do great work at a fair price. I had a pair of pants sewn 2 years ago, which is still top. No open seams and the fabric does not rub up. Highly recommended.

Very friendly service and very fair price for my tailored pants. I got two linen pants, made within 2 days, which was really great! They also took my favorite pants that I brought from Germany and remade them.

Asparagus is my favourite shop in Varkala! Beautiful eco fabrics! They make clothes on the spot...Aji, the owner is a wonderful and kind person! I've going to his shop foe the last 18 years and I was never disappointed!!! I strongly recommended!!!
