    Okay visit for an hour.
A nice looking building but certainly past its prime. The free audio guide is available in many languages and helps to explain the history of the building and the family. Exhibits are in a poor state.

    Worth a visit
Overall, it gives me mixed feelings. The inside is original and beautiful, but it looks like a mixture of a remake with something old. You can only walk along the corridors. The appearance from the outside is also not clear

Ok to visit if it's your first time
You pay INR 480, and you will probably only spend less than an hour here. Although the entrance fee comes with an audio guide, I skipped it as I had my own local guide. It's probably worth to see to understand abit more about the Bangalore royal family, but that's it. You will only get to see 2 or 3 rooms and that's it. The Interior is not entirely well maintained and there isn't any fan or AC inside the palace. To me, i don't think AC is required, but at least there should have been fans in the interior to help with the air circulation. Also, the surrounding gardens are not really well maintained as well (pls don't get fooled by the images you see online). Overall, if the royalties go to the royal family, I feel that they should do more to help improve the visitor experience.

Worth a visit, but no more than that.
Bangalore Palace is historic but not well maintained. There is plenty to see including state rooms, private quarters, photographs, and furniture. The entry price of Rs.500 for foreigners is good value and includes a decent audio guide in a variety of languages, including English. Photography is not allowed in the palace and this is enforced by the security people. Outside the palace in the gardens lots of people were taking photos with their phones but a security guard came across to tell me to put my actual camera away in its bag as cameras weren’t allowed. Go figure. The palace is worth a visit, but not if you’re short of time.

    Great Architecture Bangalore Palace
Nice place to visit. It belongs to the Wadeyars. If you want to see from inside, it's ticket is 260 Rupees per person. Children below age 10 are free. You also get audio device which helps to understand different sections of the palace.

  • Mahatma Gandhi (MG) Road Hotels
Erstwhile South Parade is Bangalore’s shopping and entertainment hub, along with nearby Brigade Road, Church Street and Commercial Street. Old-timers reminisce fondly about the grand avenue this once was. Many old landmarks have been torn down to make way for characterless glass buildings. The metro running over the road proved to be the proverbial nail in the coffin for MG Road’s beauty. Thankfully, some of the vibe still survives. Walk along and enjoy a few gems that survived the massacre.

  • Tipu Sultan Fort and Palace - Bangalore KR Market Hotels
One of Bangalore’s busiest markets, the KR market, hides this surprise: an elegant palace built by Tipu Sultan, with teak pillars and frescoes. Though incomparable to the more famous Tipu Sultan’s palace at Mysore, this is one of the relatively unknown monuments of Bangalore. Visit this palace along with the ruins of the fort nearby. Also nearby are a temple and a mosque.
