A place to buy run-of-the-mill souvenirs
The most impressive thing about this market is the dome roof in the middle. The wet market part is interesting too. If you want cheap, low quality souvenirs, you can get them here. Don't pay more than $2 for a basic touristy T-shirt.

    Central Market
The architecture of the building was amazing. In the centre of town, easy to get to. Went on two different days and wasn't busy. The stall holders were friendly and very helpful with sizes and colours. There were stalls selling jewellery, clothing, bags, shoes. Fancy wedding clothing, household items. There were even nail and hair salons. On one side you can see the wet market for meat, seafood and vegetables. Definitely worth a visit.

Good if you want to haggle and buy cheap gifts
First of all opening times we asked 3 people all told us different we got 6.30am-8am we went around 8.30am and things were not open ( we left at 9.30am and not everything was open) so i would say after 10am is better time to go. Bad points: Only a few benches to sit and i think these are for the locals/stall owners. No where to sit and have a drink you have to buy a drink off someone if you can find someone and walk around with it. Stalls are everywhere not easy to find your way around outside. Outside places don't want to haggle on prices and they are expensive! You can find everything you would want here, clothes, bags, tourist tot, shoes, food, flowers you name it. BUT you have to haggle some places selling fake bags for $150- $300! when they should be around $10-$30. Fridge magnets prices are crazy $6 we ended up with 4 of them for $3. So just make you you ignore the price they give you and pay normal price. tuk tuk was costing us $1 from the river to here and hundreds of them around ( tip download the grab app, see how much they are charging for a tuk tuk then you will know how much to ask for with your tuk tuk driver haggle with them is a must) The building is lovely very art deco inside. this is a local market and the smells and state of some of it will turn your stomach hygine is not something they practice here.

    Love this place
There’s so much going on here. Lots of great clothes and bits and pieces. If you can’t find a bargain here you aren’t looking hard enough. Some great characters in there. Don’t haggle too hard, get a first price, move them down a bit and show your appreciation

Large market with an amazing assortment of goods - none that I wanted
This is a really large market with four wings plus stalls all around. The middle is filled with jewelry counters and each wing seems to specialize in clothing, house wears etc. I am a retired lady and don’t really need anything. What I did find interesting were the areas where haircuts, pedicures and sewing were being done. We spent about 45 minutes here

    Haggle for some bargains
Worth a quick trip and make sure you've got your haggling hat on. The architecture of the building is very colonial. Like most Asian markets, things are grouped so if you can't find what you want, wander a bit more. I got some good sports tops (Under Armour) for the price I'd pay for one back in the UK - they might not be the real ones, but I think some stuff is definitely legit as many big companies manufacture in Cambodia. The stall holders all speak good English and if they haven't got what you want on display, then their relative in the stall opposite will find it for you!

    Visit for the architecture
The shopping isn’t too bad, but I liked visiting for the architecture - particularly the inside. Like most of these markets, there’s plenty for the tourists and the locals alike. I bought fake Raybans and the obligatory Angkor beer shirt. They have sizes for fat blokes, so it is all good.
