    Enjoy the Old Quarter
The old quarter area is filled with shops and restaurants. I recommend staying here because of the endless variety of activities all in close proximity. The lake area is beautiful and you can enjoy a walk around the lake comfortably and safely. We ate at small sidewalk cafes offering Vietnamese cuisine at very moderate prices. As I've experienced Vietnam I have learned that they offer the best in coffee which is available everywhere.

Nice vibe and energy in this part of town
Pretty walkable although you must be somewhat agile when crossing roads or stepping on the sidewalks. The bikers have a different perception of space with you! The open air eateries are all friendly and delicious and pretty cheap. Just make sure to come here in the right season. I went in late July and it was the height of summer so it was really really hot and humid with almost no place to hide from the hot wind.

    Crazy but fab Hanoi!
What an absolutely crazy place this is! Coming from a relatively sedate UK this really woke us up!! We loved being able to walk round and have a coffee in one of the many coffee shops, lunch wherever we fancied and usually with the locals in some quaint restaurant, and just enjoying the craziness of the place. It was a bit daunting walking in the road and constantly avoiding the scooters but it was actually fun in the end, almost like a quest for survival!!! We escaped for a walk round Hoan Kiem lake one morning and that was a lovely experience. We also loved the fact that at the weekend some roads get shut off and are solely used for pedestrians. We loved to see families out and about enjoying their time together and all the lovely locals dressed in their traditional clothing. We also braved beer street one evening and that was fun, Hanoi is like a different world at night, and streets are again closed off for people to enjoy their evenings. We are not city people usually, but we really enjoyed our time here and would return!

    Lovely crazy city!
It's very noisy and crowded all the day. Stayed in the center and we could find all just around us. It's hard and crazy when you want to cross the streets. Good food and restaurants can be found any where! Make sure you stay some where in the Old Quarter!

We are so lucky because we booked the Sapa bus and tours here
The best bus we have is in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. The bus from Hanoi to Sapa is a spa. We have massage beds, private cabins, charging for my phone, the ability to watch movies and listen to music, millions of views on the way, and the best support. We booked trekking tours and Fansipan. We are so lucky because we booked the Sapa bus and tour here. Thank you so much for everything. You can contact bc family tour or Whatsapp. My friend and I have best support via this Whatsapp: +84886559609

    Fabulous place
This place is the heart of the city and a stone's throw away from Hoam Kim lake, train street and Opera house. The street is bustling with shops, eateries, people and has a festive air to it. Loved it.

    A memorable old town
I really enjoyed the vibes and moods in the old town. The atmoshere was nostalgic. There was a Christmas market during our trips. Highly recommend to stay within the area as there are a lot of activities and good eats around.

    Old quarter in Hanoi
A true sight of structures showing the old quarter. Busy bustling street with loud music nights. Full of Spa, pedicure, manicure, body massages. Vietnamese coffee of varieties can be tried here. Varieties of Vietnamese food. Shops after shops to buy things and so many varieties of clothes. Dong Xuan market to buy gifts and varieties of things. All day and all nights bustling motorbikes, trishaws, and Vietnamese people are very humble and lovely people.
