The Ile aux Cerfs Leisure Island lies off Trou d'Eau Douce in the largest lagoon of Mauritius and offers picturesque surroundings in a "chic and wild" setting for a breathtaking experience of natural beauty. It is home to beach restaurants, an adventure park, a wide array of water sports and an 18-hole golf course as well as untouched tranquil beaches.

This beach is well-known for its excellent surfing conditions.

Undoubtedly the tallest single-drop waterfall in Mauritius at about 100m high, the Chamarel Waterfall is a striking piece of nature standing amid dense vegetation. Fed by the waters of three distinct streams pouring into Saint Denis River, it has a powerful rush with a peak flow rate in excess of 40,000 m³ per minute. Overhanging the ledge of a basalt cliff, the Chamarel Waterfall splashes into an oval pool before flowing down a 6km tropical-forest-fringed canyon to Baie du Cap. The sight not only floods the senses with freshness but it is also a spectacular showcase of millions of years of volcanic activity. The dramatic landscape if formed by lavas of two different ages. The layer of brecciated basalt near the base dates from between 10 to 8 million years ago, on top of which lies a second layer from the intermediate period between 3.5 and 1.7 million years ago.No wonder why the Chamarel Waterfall is ranked among the most sought-after sightseeing spots in Mauritius!

This 6,574-hectacre natural reserve is filled with hiking trails to observe the indigenous forests and variety of wildlife.

Measuring more than 984 feet in diameter, this crater was formed as a result of volcanic activity millions of years ago.

Ile aux Aigrettes is a small (27 ha) island situated in the Mahebourg Bay, about 850 m off the south-east coast of Mauritius. Unlike the mainland which is of volcanic origin, Ile aux Aigrettes is made up of coralline limestone. It is home to the last remnants of dry coastal forest, once found around most of Mauritius. Like the mainland, Ile aux Aigrettes was affected by tree logging and land clearance, and the introduction of exotic animal and plant species almost destroyed the native fauna and flora. In 1965 the island was declared a nature reserve and our intense conservation efforts have resulted in the restoration of the forest and reintroduction of rare species that had long since disappeared from the island.

The main feature of this mountain is a stone held up in equilibrium at its summit.

This environmentally-protected reserve is home to a variety of animals including the Javanese Deer, wild boar, Kestrel and monkeys.
