    The main attraction in Casablanca
Rated the largest mosque in the world after the ones in Mecca and Medina, this gigantic construction manages to maintain an air of elegance. The intricate tile work and cedar wood carvings are magnificent. We followed a guided tour in English--one of several offered. There was no charge, but the guide was not shy about asking for tips. Unfortunately, the group was too large (about 200 people) which made it difficult to hear the guide at times. He certainly knew his vocabulary, but his intonation sometimes made it difficult to follow along. We gave up after awhile and just walked around at our own pace. Be prepared for a long line at the ticket office!

Worth the 140 dirhamns Entrance Fee!
I purchased the ticket for 140 MAD or Moroccan dirhams that included the visit of the small Museum next to the Ticket Office. The latter has displays of various artworks made of wood, ceramics, and metals. Towards the end are diplays of artworks made by students that are for sale. There are hourly tours of the Mosque in various languages. Visitors are asked to take off their shoes, green bags are provided to store them while touring the mosque. Female visitors have head coverings, I had my hat on. The carvings inside are intricate and beautiful. There are 2 pillars showing the lineage from the Prophet Mohammed to the Moroccan Kings. At the Basement areas are many fountains for washing before praying. Suggestions: Join a tour, ask questions about the Mosque, tour it on your own after the tour is done, take lots of pictures.

    A must do visit
Visited as part of a tour group . We had an amazing local guide who was so interesting , which can make or break a visit . The architecture of this building is fantastic, it is stunning inside . It has a retractable roof , intricate plasterwork , beautiful marble and a really peaceful atmosphere. Our guide took us to many different areas of the mosque ,so we saw a real overview of the preparations for prayer. I will add that our visit was not during prayer time . We would certainly recommend a visit here & think it would be better with a guide .

A must to see if you are in the area.
The was an amazing mosque. We were blown away by the size and the quality of the workmanship. We had an excellent local guide who gave us lots of information. It was very busy but that didn’t detract from our visit as the guides had the groups well organised.

    Moorish architecture at its best!
This building is incredible- the thought that went into each detail comes through. You are initially struck by its size and the engineering genius behind it but that is quickly overtaken by the minutiae details that make it such a beautiful placement Went on the English tour with Abdel which was such a delight. His insights took what was already an incredibly majestic building to the next level. From insights on morrocan history to debates on costs to build, he covered all questions with expertise and humour.

    Excellent Architecture
Being located on the Atlantic coast, this mosque is an example of excellent modern architecture. It's interiors are beautifully designed and decorated. Some portion of its roof can be shifted to allow circulation of fresh air on the occasions when the number of people offering prayers is high. A must see for anyone while in Casablanca. Possibly, this is the only mosque in Morocco where non - Muslims are allowed to go inside.

On our last day of stay in Morocco and in Casa Blanca we decided to tour this mosque. Made from mostly local materials. Intricate designs all around. Inside the mosque, a long open hall that can accommodate several thousand of devotees including upper section for women. Below the main hall is the fountain and water station for cleansing.

    stunning
Stunning and a privilege to be able to visit it. Interesting and educational it is a place of wonder and not filled with monuments and statues like other places of worship - instead there is space for the mind to fill. Well worth a tour.

A must see location when in Casablanca
3rd largest mosque in the world, very interesting architecture and good guided tour. Like a lot of places in Morocco, the organisation is a bit muddled but you can find the ticket office a short walk from the Mosque, book a tour which are every hour i believe in the morning (except Fridays) and then keep your eye on someone that looks like a guide turning up and starting a tour fairly unannounced. The architecture is amazing and the guide was quite informative and open to questions. Expect the open request for a tip to come at the end.
