- Claire B20 contributionsBrilliant tour, bags of information, beautiful cows and banging baked cakesAbsolutely wonderful time here. It was a special treat for my daughters birthday as she loves highland cows and it didn't disappoint at all. The hosts were interesting and informative and really knowledgeable and fun to listen to. The cows were beautiful to see and we got some great photos of them. Then we had a treat with our tea and cakes afterwards as the cakes were absolutely beautiful. Some of the nicest baking I've ever had. Definitely would recommend.Thank you for this great review and for recommending our highland cow experience to other people. We really do appreciate great feedback like this. Thanks again. I would 100% recommend to everyone no matter your age or ability the staff are amazing and so are the cakes and bakes at the end.Thank you for this very positive review and for your firm recommendation. On several occasions now we've had four generations of the same family on our safari tours so you are quite right about all ages being able to enjoy our highland cow experiences. Thanks again. - Mary H1 contributionFun and informative excursion among the coosA fantastic time spent with the enthusiastic and well-informed people who are Kitchen Coos & Ewes. I went along expecting a fun hour with the gorgeous Highland Coos and instead left with a greater understanding of the importance and effectiveness of the coos with the biodiversity of the land on which they graze. All this information is delivered in a fun manner with the genuine affection the farmers have for their cattle on full display. The coos all have names, and we were introduced to them as we were transported across the fields and among the herd. Absolutely worth the time and the tour is finished with a wonderful afternoon tea. Thanks for this amazing review. Exceeding expectations is what it's all about here at KC&E. We're so glad we managed to do that when you came to visit our coos. Thanks aain. - Lauren H7 contributionsCute Coos and Brilliant BakingWow, just a spectacular time all around! The owners of Kitchen Coos and Ewes, Neale and Janet, could not be more lovely. The tour with Neale was very interesting and informative, and of course the coos were so exciting to see. We loved getting to see all the different coos and learn about them, however the high tea after was equally as wonderful. Janet is such a spectacular baker and we are still talking about how delicious her lemon drizzle cake was (looking forward to her baking book coming out in November)! We could not recommend this more as something fun to do while on the East coast of Scotland!Thank you very much indeed for this glowing review. Janet's lemon drizzle cake is a real hit with our visitors. Her recipe book is still on target to be printed in November so you certainly do have that to look forward to. Thanks again. Best wishes. The lemon drizzle cake was top class and I would highly recommend everyone to try it - well done Janet!! An amazing day and a special memory for my 30th, thank you!!Thank you very much for your very kind words. I'm very pleased that we managed to make some special memories for you on your birthday. - Nick M12 contributionsAmazing morning at Kitchen, Coos & EwesWe went as a family of four on a Walking Tour and can honestly say that it was one of the best mornings we have had together as all of us loved it. The Coos and Ewes are fantastic but we learnt a lot from the tour with Neale about the history of the farm and the area and the other wildlife in the area. Lots of photos taken and the kids loved grooming the coos. The cakes and tea prepared by Janet were delicious and our son loved the dairy free cakes specially made for him with his allergies (apparently they were amazing!!!). Overall just a fantastic day and we hope to return when we are next in Scotland.Thank you very much for such a generous review. This was the last walking tour of 2023. I'll miss taking our guests out for a walk around the fields so I'm looking forward to starting them up again in the first week of May 2024. Hope you can make it back to see us again next time. Best wishes.
