One of the most expensive & longest shopping streets in Europe
We love the Bahnhofstrasse! Every time when we visited Zurich, we would always drop by the Bahnhofstrasse! This long shopping street is in the heart of Zurich, it runs through from North to South, which begins from the train station & end at the edge of the Zurich lake. Being one of the most expensive shopping streets in Europe & the main commercial hub in Zurich, you would be surprised that you could still find many shops that are very affordable for normal people, I.e. H&M, Adidas, Nike...etc. The closer to the lake, the more expensive they are. (i.e. lined with upmarket shops selling jewelleries or Rolax...etc.) There are also serval lovely but very affordable restaurants located on the side streets along Bahnhofstrasse. The street is always very clean and there are tramlines running along it. It is very easy to walk & we love it!

    Amazing experience with great food
It's the most expensive street in Europe. You will find almost all major brands here. But I would also like to mention that lanes behind this street is full of amazing restaurants and you will find amazing food here. Vibes are just awesome and the lanes are typical of Europe. Shops close by 6 pm but these lanes are all young till midnight.

    Absurdly expensive elitism
A gray street, elegant, sophisticated, very suitable for the practice of snobbery. The biggest attraction is seeing ridiculous prices on stained glass windows from big brands. Many so exclusive that one does not usually have on Spotlight since they only have high-end products. Some of you probably won't even be able to get in because they only serve customers. The walk is pleasant because one starts practically from the historical center of Zurich and the truth that ends up being an inevitable walk. It is to see an almost fantastic and inaccessible world, but it is part of tourism. You can leave the card at home, you won't use it.

    Vanity Street.
Zurich's main street stretches from the train station to Bürkli Square, named after the architect Arnold Bürkli, who designed it in the middle of the XIX century in the image and likeness of the boulevards of Baron Haussmann in Paris. As often happened in European cities, due to the high cost of land, the street was laid on the site of a fortress moat. But the specificity of Zurich is that it was necessary to fill up a ditch with frogs, which, according to legend, stopped croaking when enemy approached the city. The street turned out to be, however, short - only 1.4 km. As a rule, station streets and squares in all cities are a concentration of cheap hotels and hostels, affordable cafes and fast food. But in Zurich, everything is exactly the opposite! Bahnhofstrasse is one of the most expensive shopping streets. Not Switzerland, the world! The rent of 15,000 Swiss francs per square meter destroyed affordable retail on the street. There are only banks led by the Swiss grandee - UBS and luxury brands. Among the clothes present here are Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Giorgio Armani, Christian Dior, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Hermes and Ermenegildo Zegna. Of course, luxury watch and jewelry manufacturers Breguet, Blancpain, Bvlgari, Cartier, Chopard, Tiffany, Vacheron Constantin, Van Cleef & Arpels are represented here. Somehow, the democratic Swatch got into this elite club. But it's closer to the train station. Since the price of the watches displayed in the windows is an annual (or more) salary, it remains only to consider them. Nothing will stop you from exploring this Street of Vanity, to paraphrase Thackeray, because there is practically no traffic on the street except the tram.

Nice walk with great sights of Zurich downtown
I had a lovely experience walking down Bahnhofstrasse. It is easy to get here from anywhere within Zurich by taking the train and getting off at the main Zurich station. The buildings and stores on both sides of this street are nice, and there were several nice eateries and cafes close by.

    Just to hit leg
The Bahnofstrasse starts at Zurich's central train station, has direct exit to this street. Walk here just to admire the buildings and the dynamics of the city. The shops are expensive and no news. The only store you should enter is Coop even for cominhas in the departments part and to buy their meal that helps too much in the travel budget.

It's home to iconic churches like the twin towers of Grossmunster as well as Fraumunster, which is famous for its stained glass windows. You can also climb up Lindenhof Hill for a bird's eye view of the town and walk the pedestrianized streets of Niederdorf and Limmatquai—they are lively with shops by day and packed with nightlife as the sun goes down.
