    A must for local flavour
This place is an indoor market catering to local tastes. There’s cheese stores, butcher shops, fruit and vegetable sellers and prepared food stalls. We went by for breakfast and enjoyed cappuccino and croissants at one place and some snacks at another. Some of the more interesting offerings are beef stomach sandwiches (a Florintine specialty) tripe sandwiches and much more. It’s fun to have a look around for a few minutes after having a snack or perhaps, for the adventurous, a sandwich. For visitors with a kitchen, this market is the place to go to shop for dinner, including wines.

Best place for reasonably priced street food
We were put onto this place by our hotel front desk and we were gald we did. The market is a gorgeous building full of interesting street food vendors. We ate pasta, arronchini balls, pizza and drank red wine. All was amaginly well cooked and made from fresh ingredients. We enjoyed the experience where you just all pitch in and sit togehter meaning that everyone was asking what each other was eating and where it came from. We came back again and again.

    Great upstairs market
This was close to our Airbnb so we stopped here to shop, eat & drink. Outside is a bunch of stands selling leather, purses, belts, clothes, etc. Inside has 2 floors I believe - lots of places to eat & shop fresh produce. We loved going here!

    A must see in Florence
An absolute must see if visiting Florence. So many different types of food so there is something for everyone and the food is excellent. The atmosphere is also very vibrant despite us visiting mid week. Some places can be a bit pricey but there is a variety of options at different price points to accommodate people’s budget. The toilets here are also very small so may incur a bit of a wait to use them especially when it’s busy.

Lively and well presented covered market
Lively and well presented covered market. Not much you can't buy here. Lot of beautiful produce if staying self catering or just come for brunch/lunch. Lots of choice. Why can't other cities do this ?

    Must-do if visiting Florence
Excellent place to take in the true experience of life in Florence. The market has so many stalls on the ground floor, inside the wonderful building, that offer Tuscan foods of all varieties, from cheeses to the best balsamic vibegar you'll find anywhere to truffles and so much more. Each stall offers you something unique and just escalates the 'wow' factor. Upstairs, there's a wide choice of eateries again offering a wide variety of Tuscan delights. Outside of the market building, there are many typical market stalls selling a huge range of leather goods plus a few stalls selling the typical goods focused on tourists. Well worth a visit.

Great Place For Foodies; Visit Both Floors!
The upper floor of this market has an array or prepared food vendors and a bar area and is open until late at night. It is a very large "food court" with the bar area near the center. Vendors are local establishments and there is a wide assortment. We tried the pizza stand where the pizza is cut into serving size squares from a sheet pan sized pizza; I am estimating that they had ten varieties of pizza toppings to choose from (some were very different than what we are used to); we also could not resist the cannoli which were also excellent. All drinks including bottled water are sold at the bar. There is a wide range of food available including ethnic specialties. There are plenty of tables and adequate staff to keep the tables clean between customers. The ground floor opens early in the morning and is a public food market with various vendors selling fresh meats, vegetables, baked goods and cooking ingredients/spices. This lower section closes in the early afternoon. Our hotel was close enough that we could visit both areas of this market when they were open. There may be a noon/lunch overlap of open times.

    Must-visit spot in Florence
After returning from a day trip to Cinque Terre, I stopped by Mercato Centrale for a late-night meal. I enjoyed a delicious steak, porchetto, and a glass of wine, impressively all for under 40 Euros. The place was bustling with a younger crowd. It's a must-visit spot in Florence, offering all the culinary delights one should experience. This place comes with my highest recommendation.

    Food and Food
This is quite a big venue and it is somewhat unique in that the lower level has numerous fresh food outlets with items to take home and cook while the upper level is a food court. The lower level outlets offer a reasonable variety and most items seem reasonably priced. Apart from fresh food outlets there are also retail outlets with processed food, cheese, wine, etc. The second level contains mostly food outlets, a caffe bar, a drinks bar, a wine bar, and a few speciality shops. Most dining options in the food court are good quality but are more expensive than at surrounding restaurants.

    Fun Concept
We stopped in on our first night in Florence. At first we were confused because the food stalls on the ground floor were all closed. Fortunately, we saw a staircase and wandered up — the second floor is a busy, upscale food court that serves alcohol! Perfect. We wandered around and settled on pizza, spinach quiche and vegan salad from 3 different venders. The quiche was delicious and hit the spot, the pizza was served cold for some reason & the salad was just weird. Oh well — it didn’t spoil our night. We were happy to relax, eat and people watch as we began our adventure in Florence.

  • Piazzale Michelangelo Hotels
This neoclassical-style piazza built by Giuseppe Poggi in the 19th century offers some of the best panoramic views of Florence's historic center. The plaza is also home to several replicas of Michelangelo's famous sculptures, including David and the Medici Chapel statues. To get to the piazza, you'll need to climb up a steep hill, but the unobstructed views are worth it. Sunset is a popular time to visit when the plaza is bathed in golden light. You can take a taxi or car tour up the hill, or for a unique experience, pass by the piazza on a Vespa tour through Tuscany from Florence. – Tripadvisor
