We purchased our timed entry admission several weeks in advance but we might have been able to walk up and purchase them on the chilly, rainy day when we visited the museum. I also purchased an English audio guide that provided in-depth discussion about select pieces of art (that had a headset graphic and a number on the placard beside the art). I personally wasn’t very excited by many of the modern art pieces on display in one wing of the museum so I didn’t take the time to listen to the descriptions on those pieces. There are a few Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali items on display that I found more interesting. One of the most provocative pieces is the large horse and rider statue on display in the courtyard facing the Grand Canal. My wife and I spent a total of 90 minutes in the museum.

Worth the visit to this historic gallery. The gallery itself is rather small so the €15 entry fee does feel a little steep but the location and quality of the work is outstanding. The gallery itself feels very special as it was the home of Peggy Guggenheim and the works are very interesting and well curated. The sculpture garden was lovely and views of the Grand Canal were very beautiful. Would be nice if the temporary exhibition was included within the ticket price and some rooms were especially crowed. Definitely a place to visit in Venice if you enjoy the works of Pollock, Rothko and Ernst. Staff were very friendly when buying tickets and entry was a seamless experience.

Wonderful legacy of Peggy Guggenheim. Visited in December and it soon became to too crowded to really enjoy the museum which is a relatively small collection in a series of smallish villa rooms. The collection is very impressive and the audio guide highlights Peggy Guggenheim's distinct personality, relations with the artists, and perspectives of the artists themselves. Lovely gift shop nearby.

Great exhibition to visit. Worth getting the audio as we found it very interesting to know more about the sculptures & paintings. The narrator has a nice voice & certainly opened up our eyes for the art. The staff very friendly & easy to walk around - we spent a couple of hours & had found it really interesting to hear Peggy Guggenheim’s story.

Interesting museum located on the edge of the Grand Canal, to visit in my opinion rather for the "classic" paintings (Picasso, Magritte, Modigliani, Ernst, Chirico Chagall, Dali and so on) than for the modern sculptures which mean absolutely nothing to me ! During our visit, there was a fairly well-constructed Cocteau exhibition, with many objects and documents. Book and take an audio guide

Wonderful collection (Picasso, Braque, Calder, Ernst, Kandinsky, Chagall, Dali to name a few) to visit although it was quite crowed that day. The sculptures are well presented and the Jean Cocteau temporary exhibition was very interesting. The incredible view of the grand canal from the terrace is a treat!!

It was nice to visit a beautiful 20th century collection of modern art after spending the past several days admiring all the masters of traditional art. The audio tour was well done and worth the cost. It is a small museum and can be done easily in an hour. Beautiful building on the canal.

One of the most important European collections and it shows. The place where it is located is beautiful with the garden and overlooking the Grand Canal. In the rooms you can find works by Picasso, Kandinsky, Magritte, Dali, De Chirico, Pollock, Severini, Braque, Ernst... but I think there are many unexhibited works belonging to the collection. Plus there are temporary exhibitions.

One of the most beautiful museums ever visited. It is not only the works that leave breathtaking, but also the structure itself, the garden and the sea visible from the windows and from an additional outdoor area accessible to the public. It makes Venice even more beautiful and culturally alive. Wonderful experience.
