    An engineering marvel
The Pantheon is truly a structure that has stood the test of time. It is one of the best preserved monuments of Ancient Rome, in large part because it has been in continuous use since its completion around 128 AD, first as a temple for Roman gods before being converted to a church. The rotunda building is connected to the granite-columned portico via a rectangular vestibule. The star attraction is undoubtedly the coffered concrete dome ceiling with an oculus (central opening) to the sky. Amazingly, it was still the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome 2,000 years after it was built. As the expression of Rome's glorious past which has gone on to influence countless buildings across Europe and the Americas throughout history, the Pantheon is worth every Euro (only €5) and every waiting time that you have to go through just to enter the building and appreciate its magnificence and beauty.

    Stunning example of Roman architecture
This is in great condition particularly for a building nearly 2,000 years old and is another demonstration of how far ahead of their time the Romans were. From the 16 columns at the front of the building to the 43m wide dome, it’s remarkable how they managed to build it. On a clear day, the sun lit up the interior through the occulus at the top of the dome. This is 7.8m wide and is the only source of light, and is the connection between the temple and the Gods. A must visit, and the entrance fee of €5 should not deter anyone in in

Must see and a few tips….
Must visit attraction. Few tips: - buy tickets in advance to avoid queue although only 10 mins in January - bring headphones as you can download the app and listen to the various bits of history as you walk around. Worth a visit. An hour visit at most

Wish I had seen more of the Pantheon
I visited the Pantheon on Jan. 29th as part of a guided tour I was taking as it was one of the stops. It is quite a site with incredible history and beauty. Unfortunately we didn’t have much time at this stop on our tour and it was extremely crowded. My advice is to book a specific guided tour for the Pantheon or get one of the recorded tour audios. Also keep an eye out for pickpockets in the area and go early morning for reduced crowds.

    Stunning!
We were in awe of this site, well worth the modest entry fee of 5 euro. Our children were free (like most sites in rome). As usual, keep your wits about you as the immediate area is filled with scammers.

    Wow
Wow is the first thought when you enter this amazing place, it is just the dome area you visit, no rooms off of it, so not a long visit unless you have the audio too. Queues can be very long to get in but look out for the pay cash queue, we got straight in. €5 an adult under 18's free

Don't miss this but buy your ticket ahead of time.
We booked online through the official website which was a hassle. However, with tickets printed, we strolled past the HUGE line of people waiting to get in. We LOVED the Pantheon and spent quite a bit of time looking at everything in it. I have been many places in the world and this was the second place which brought me to tears, the first being inside Westminster Abbey for a church service. The history the Pantheon has is incredible and the art is amazing.

    Try to come early
If you are planning to visit on a first Sunday of the month when the entrance is free I advise to come at about 15 minutes before opening (8:45) so you wouldn’t have to wait in a long queue. We could easily go in at 9:10 and loved the visit with our 7 years old. We used the app for explanations which is easy and comfortable.

This unique 20 Centuries old church
We had booked a hotel close to the Pantheon and passed this unique building every day. We marvelled at the fact that the Pantheon has survived till this day, because some centuries ago the Catholic Church had lost interest in the Pantheon and even allowed Bernini to scavenge bronze from the Pantheon to use for the 'baldacchino' in the newly built St. Peter Cathedral. The Pantheon could have gone the way of the Colosseum easily, where large parts were scavenged as building material. But luckily we still may be speechless at a rather unscatched Pantheon, outside and inside. However the time that you could shuffle into the Pantheon unchecked for free has gone. Now you have to buy tickets and stand in line.

    It's worth visiting!
The building is beautiful, and its history is fascinating. Entrance costs €5 per person, and it's worth investing in this ticket to see the oldest and most intact building ever. The ticket can be purchased at the Pantheon ticket office, or on the Musei Italiani app (available for Android and iPhone). It's interesting how it rains inside, because the roof is open, and the building itself has a drainage system on the floor. It's worth visiting, especially in low seasons (between January and March). The number of people inside can make the visit less pleasant.
