- *どんなモンタナNagoya, Japan168 contributionsWatch a classical concertI watched a classical music concert. I was able to enjoy the atmosphere of the music hall, and the concert was good. When I visited the music hall, I was wondering whether to take a tour or a concert, but I am personally satisfied with the concert. I made a reservation for the concert about two weeks in advance. I think you can enjoy it even if you don't have a good seat.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 2 March 2024
- mazdaukGreater London, United Kingdom789 contributionsAmazing experience, catch a live concert if you can.We had been planning on booking a tour but when we found a guitar and flamenco concert for the last night of our trip we booked it immediately. We paid €42 each for stall seats, the concert was about 90-110 minutes ( no interval) and it flew by. The music was phenomenal, the dancing superb (especially the male dancer) and the encore was astounding - have you ever seen three guitarists and a percussionist play a Michael Jackson melody on ONE guitar??! The building itself is stunning, and I would like to return in daylight to get the effect of the natural light. Hoever it was nice to see it being used for its proper purpose, not just a museum. The bar/ restaurant looked interesting but of course was very busy.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 March 2024
- EMIRGREENDublin, Ireland40 contributionsStunning and colourfulEmma took us on a lovely tour of the inside and outside of this stunning building, pointing out some of its secrets along the way. I was delighted to be able to fit this in on my last morning in the city. Cannot wait to return to experience a concert in the magical concert hall.Visited March 2024Travelled soloWritten 24 March 2024
- Jay BFairhope, Alabama1,121 contributionsThe Heartbeat of Barcelona CultureThis place is simply amazing. There are 3 reasons to visit here. First, the palace and concert hall are architectural marvels, treating you to sights and sounds you have never seen or heard before. Second, catching a performance here is very special. We were not able to attend an event in the main hall, but thoroughly enjoyed a classical music concert in the smaller venue. It was outstanding! Third, they feature a really high quality gift shop and a top notch restaurant as well. If in Barcelona, the Palau de la Musica is a must do. NOTE: The self guided tour is designed for mobile device download but can be very sketchy. Be sure and pick up a pamphlet in case the downloaded audio doesn't work.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 26 March 2024
- SteviefullKidderminster, United Kingdom2,095 contributionsA Great VenueWe wanted to visit here so what better way than to watch the Gran Gala Flamenco (which we highly recommend), but this is about the Palace of Catalan Music and its a very special building. You can walk in off the street and see the entryway, which is worth it for a quick look but if taking in a show you get to see a lot more, there's the bar area, the foyer and of course the theatre itself. All areas are very photogenic and well worth visiting especially if you have the chance to take in a show.Visited May 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 9 April 2024
- andream0402Melbourne, Australia4,098 contributionsThe most incredible theatre you’ll ever seeThis is the most stunning theatre you will ever see. It’s hard to know where to look. It’s a piece of art. Entry is €18 or €22 with an audio guide. We were very lucky to hear somebody playing the organ while we were in there and it was amazing! The details are incredible. Have a look.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 April 2024
- Raintree_ThailandBangkok, Thailand4,465 contributionsFabulous under-recognized creation of Montaner!!This fabulous building was designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner and built between 1905 and 1908, and has been designated a World Heritage Site. Unfortunately, this sparkling work of Montaner is overshadowed by hype around Gaudi's creations. The exterior is highly ornate (very nicely lighted at night). We thought the old ticket boxes in the entrance columns were really cool. Inside, there are great tiles (including tiled columns), grand stairways, the incredible multi-colored stained-glass skylight, and carved muses. The concert hall seats 2,200. We paid 16 euros each (seniors rate) for a guided tour in English (normal regular price for adults is 22 euros).Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 June 2024
- BTS1972Munich, Germany3,742 contributionsIncredible masterpiece of Catalan art nouveauThis music hall is a masterpiece of catalan art nouveau or Jugendstil. Rich in details and ornaments it is a monument of better days of Spain and Catalonia. The place is quite frequented, so better book tickets in advance and in the early morning hours - before the guided tours show up.Visited July 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 8 July 2024
- Jane LWelwyn Garden City, United Kingdom66 contributionsA wonderful experienceWe didn't do a tour, we went to a piano recital one evening. The venue is magical. The architecture etc is typical of Barcelona - eye-catchingly beautiful. The acoustics are great and the seating comfortable. The staff were attentive and helpful. A great experience all round.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 August 2024
- Alminia25 contributionsVery nice visit, free access is enoughThe architecture is original and colorful. The guided tour begins with a historical video on its construction. Then the band goes to the concert hall and terrace, beautiful. Once finished, we can stay and visit in open access.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 25 August 2024

- Auditori Forum-CCIB HotelsAs seen from the sky, this building, designed by the Swiss architects Herzog & DeMeuron, is a perfect equilateral triangle with 180 m long sides and a height of 25 m, suspended on pillars. Geometric spaces, changing tones depending on the light, glass doors and a metallic kaleidoscopic interior are some of the qualities that make up this building’s strong personality. The shape of the courtyards emerges from the juxtaposition of the two urban design elements of the Cerdà Plan and the stretch of road that is the Diagonal. Its rough blue facade is crisscrossed by different strips of glass that suggest the idea of water running down from the roof. The interiors of the auditorium and exhibition halls are designed to be hybrid spaces. The capacity of the Auditorium is 3,084 people.Read more
