    Great history and experience
Great experience. Loved seeing the inside of the library and the history. Tess does one heck of a tour. Highly recommended as she’s a historian and went to the actual school. Quite funny as well

    Great experience
I finally booked the Book of Kells after missing out on our last visit to Dublin. It was worth the wait! An amazing bit of Irish history and so informative. Very good free audio guide. The long room is amazing, the majority of the books are now In storage awaiting renovation but it is stunning! I loved the Gaia feature. The final building on the experience really helps to imagine what the long room would be with all the books! The digital experience is so well done!

Must-see for people of all interests
Breathtaking history and art and architecture all in one space. Plus our tour guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. This tour far exceeded my expectation. It is a must-see. And the new digital experience was a nice finale.

Modern day technology makes centuries old book come to life without ruining the experience
The new "Experience" is a revelation in that it shows how a museum experience can bee enhanced with modern technology. I saw the Book many years ago and whilst impressed at that time nothing compares with the brilliant experience they now provide with talking statues and light shows. Excellent

    Book
Imagine the travel of a book through centuries! Imagine the work that's been done to put together the book at that time in history. And then a rest and working place for books in the one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. Well, one can very well imagine and see this in the exhibition. Please, please just take your time to do it!

    Like a fairytale !
It was absolutely amazing ! The guide was nice, everything was well explained, and the old library is beautiful. They moved a lot of books for restoration purpose, but ti still looks perfect. Gaïa, an animated event on the libraby, is beautiful; the Boru Harp is really stunning and the place is overall magnificent. I greatly recommend.

A highlight of our Dublin Trip
I loved the Book of Kells but the audio playing on my phone did not work, so that’s why I’m only giving 4/5. The old library was very cool too but we did not like the giant artistic globe blocking the architecture. I realize it’s art and I appreciate that but it did not fit the vibe. We wish all the books would have been there on the shelves but it was still pretty cool.

    A must see
Had a great time here. Loved the exposure and being able to see such lovely history. The Long Room was must see. Liked that you could go at your own pace. The immersion experience was a bit too much for my son- has recent concussion but we just left early.

    A historical journey
I think the tour was good value overall. The first part of the tour where you read all the large panels about the Book of Kells is probably the least enjoyable. The Long Room in the Library is great as is the Gaia world. The VR experience is wonderful.

    Worth the price
As a bookish person, this was a must-do experience. I was worried it wouldn’t be worth the price, but it was actually very informative and getting to see the old library at the end was incredible. The library was under renovation/prep for renovation when we visited, but there were still enough books left on some of the shelves to get the overall impressive effect! It’s definitely worth visiting at least once to see in-person.
