    Simply wonderful
Not much I can add about this magnificent building and incredible collection of works. I was happy to book a free ticket and make a donation (suggested). Great value, as I didn't feel the need for a guide. Plenty of group, and self-directed options, if you would prefer one. Fantastic day out.

    Great museum
We reserved these tickets online during our layover, and they were Free, requiring only advance booking. Exploring the plethora of exquisite paintings and artworks was a delightful experience. Although art isn't my particular passion, I found it enjoyable. The gallery is conveniently situated in the downtown area, near Westminster station and other notable landmarks. If you happen to be in London without any prior engagements, I highly recommend visiting this cultural gem.

    Awesome, and free
TIPS: As with all great museums, do some planning beforehand and decide what it is that you want to see. Then go early before the crowds and, for this gallery, do book - its free and you can book even a few minutes before entry. Booking allows you to go to the front of the queue. Enjoy !

    Art lovers unite here!
Enjoyable museum and you can't beat the price. It's free! Quite a few masterpieces including da Vinci's The Burlington House Cartoon and The Virgin of the Rocks. There are also plenty of Impressionists if that's your preference; Cezanne, Picasso, and van Gogh. A great way to spend a few hours to get cultured and inspired so get there early! It gets crowded fast!

Definitely go if you want to see some art!
Free admission to this beautiful gallery. Absolutely loved going in, wish I had more time to see the whole thing. If you're an art lover/want to see some iconic works, go visit. Loved the Impressionism and Pointlism pieces the most.

3 Hours and you are done
Any museum of this scope and magnitude can be a challenge. Museum Fatigue will set in after about three hours of exploration. You'll know that you are ready to leave when you walk by one-of-a-kind / priceless / unique archeological finds and don't even notice them. That is when you decide to come back another day and go have a nice pint somewhere else :)

    Just get lost in it
This is such an amazing space to get lost in. It's bright but with a very relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of places to sit in and take in the miriad of art to view. I cannot believe that this is free (even making the suggested donation doesn't feel enough). Definitely somewhere to visit time and time again.

    A must for art lovers
This gallery is a must for anyone who appreciates art, as it contains some of the world's greatest paintings (from Van Gogh to William Turner to Rembrandt to Monet). You could literally spend hours just roaming the halls with Impressionists, let alone the rest of the 2,600+ strong collection of works. PSA: It is strongly advised to book ahead of time as - especially during the holiday season - it can get busy and you might not find a slot that fits your schedule. It is free to visit, donation is optional. Finally, while you are at it, you might want to consider a visit to the adjacent National Portrait Gallery (same building, separate entrance and ticketing system).
