If you’re wanting some pics for the gram then this is a good place to go. A few installations to take pictures with (shown in pics attached). For the time of year we went, there wasn’t much open and it was pretty deserted so can’t give this a proper review but from what we saw, it was fun and I expect this is bustling in the Summer but we went in the Winter time. I’m still glad I went as there are still a few things to see. I would say, the surrounding areas are pretty run down and isn’t the prettiest of areas to be in.

    Great work of urban use
Example of urban use in a huge 19th century distillery that, instead of collapsing, remains as historical buildings that now lack interesting shops and great restaurants. A place without a doubt to visit and have a good time!!!

    Great date venue
My husband & I visited on a rainy day which took away from the experience but I can picture couples going on dates there because it was very charming & the industrial setting so quaint. There was a New Orleans theme going on & it reminds me of the warehouse district there. At night, it must be a great place to go with the lights & lively atmosphere.

    Good place to know
I’ve stayed there in the weekend and I loved it. You find a lot of stores, restaurants and good places to take a beer and wine. The atmosphere is friendly. Everybody needs to know and enjoy the place.

    Great Visiting Spot
Great place to go with your partner and just walk around the streets and get the feel for victorian style neighbourhood. Good place to take friends and out of town relatives. Lots of shopping and food options and they most often have events for weekends or holiday seasons.

    Neighborhoods in Toronto
This shopping and entertainment area is built on the site of the old Godderham & Worts Distillery. Apart from the architectural significance, there is shopping, bars & coffee shops and it is one of the best Xmas Markets in the world. It is within walking distance to the Port of Toronto and Marina with bicycle and walking trails and a ferry to Toronto Island Park.

    great industrial architecture
This district east of the city centre is characterised by industrial architecture from the 19th century. The area has been declared as a historic monument. Not surprising, as it is rare to see architecture from this period so well preserved in North America. There are imposing Victorian buildings, chicly converted warehouses, lofts with high ceilings and cobbled streets full of character.

    Cool spot
What a unique & historic pit stop during our Toronto vacation! The Distillery district is an area of preserved historic buildings that are now shops, coffee shops, bars & places to eat! It was so beautiful to walk around & take in the historical beauty of the buildings while enjoying shopping. Very clean & easy to navigate! Easy street parking a couple blocks over & very easy to walk around. Some highlights of our Distillery visit includes Balazacs coffee shop, street vendors, reading about the buildings history & taking photos of the beautiful buildings! Loved the vibe here & was so happy we made time for this during our Toronto visit!

Good shops and restaurants in historic setting
The Distillery District is a 20-30 minute walk from Downtown Toronto. It was historically, as its name suggests, former distillery buildings. These have now been converted into a very pleasant attraction with a number of restaurants, bars and shops. If the weather is good, there are plenty of places to sit outside. This is a good location for buying gifts, for example jewelry, candles, etc.

Immerse yourself in the heart of Toronto’s bohemian culture at Kensington Market. Restaurants and hole-in-the-wall eateries offering food from all over the world are interspersed with vintage thrift shops, coffee joints, tattoo parlors, bars, art galleries, and Victorian-style houses. The area is part gritty, part chaotic but it has tons of personality. The best time to visit is on Pedestrian Sundays (last Sunday of the month from May to October), when street parties and festivals are the highlights. Take public transportation to get there as parking is hard to come by. You can experience the neighborhood on a food, walking, or bike tour. – Tripadvisor
