    Very nicely done
Two adults visited this on a Tuesday in late September 2023 and thought this visitor center was very nicely done with all of the exhibits on formation of the park. We purchased the booklet and then walked through the adjacent outdoor Mountain Farm Museum and outbuildings. The $1 booklet filled in a lot of the gaps lacking in the museum’s signage. No rangers available in the museum and only a few chickens running around but we enjoyed ourselves. There is a couple of mile trail down to Cherokee from the visitor center but we didn’t have time to take it. Remember your parking pass.

    Nice visitor center
It's a nice visitor center, there is a free museum with some old structures with information about them. There are some chickens live there. When we were there around 4pm, there was an elk standing in side the river. It was nice to see.

    Beautiful and educational
This is unlike any regular visitor center. Live Elk come through every day! The area is beautiful with walking trails by a river. The center has an amazing educational display with lots of audio vieual displays and artifacts.

    Elk!!!
This visitor center is worth a stop. Walking through the old farm village is interesting and you must walk around the river to see the beauty of nature. The best part is seeing so many elk. They are majestic animals and like to nag out in the field and the river. We saw a group of 20 elk enjoying the river and riverbank.

    Drive Slow. Watch for Elk.
The elk are amazing. Drive slow. The elk are on the side of The road early in the mornings. The speed limit is 35 mph, but go slower. Please watch for elk near the main roadway near and past the visitor center.🙏 They love eating grass on the side of The main road. Please watch.

    Interesting Visitor Center
This visitor center offers more information than the Sugarlands visitor center. There is a small, walk through museum that gives lots of information on the area. Out back, there is a historic farm trail with buildings along the river. We saw lots of elk near here.
