Darling Harbour Hotels
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Djโs. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVIDโs light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.

- smiler1956Birmingham, United Kingdom613 contributionsVisitI visited this beautiful harbour with my wife and Daughter. Not only is it a lovely setting but lined with shops and restaurants. The iconic swing bridge gives tall ships access to the harbour, and the National Maritime Museum has some great examples of shipping through the ages. Perfect for people watching, relaxing and enjoying the scenery.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 6 February 2024

- Betty C6 contributionsInteresting section of Sydney with nice views of the harbor area.We liked the area around the harbor -- museums, restaurants and views. It is where you can take the ferry to Circular Quay, the hub for all ferries and rail/train connections. Walk across the Pyrmont Bridge for many more restaurants, bars and scenery. Loved the fireworks on Saturday night but go early for a good place to view them.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 2 April 2024
- Badcat110St Austell, United Kingdom4,058 contributionsBeautiful areaWe stayed very close so went here several times day and evening during our 3 days. Itโs a lovely area, especially at night when it really comes alive. Plenty of good places to eat and drink, easy to catch ferry to circular quay and then on to lots of other places. We thought this was one one of the nicest areas in Sydney.Visited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 26 May 2024
- royufuJapan2,083 contributionsFashionable downtownIt was originally a port lined with cargo warehouses and factories. It has now been redeveloped to attract fashionable restaurants and Shopping spots. When I visited, there was a public viewing of the Paris Olympics. It's basically a busy area late in the night in Sydney.Visited August 2024Travelled soloWritten 11 August 2024
- markinseoulTaipei, Taiwan60 contributionsSomething for everyoneEvening time was the best time to visit. Colorful, vibrate and energetic... Multi-cultural Sydney for sure. Grab a drink (at a premium) and watch the world go by. Yes, it is touristy, but where in downtown isn't? A fun place to people watch.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 August 2024

- foxiSingapore7 contributionsRomantic dating is full of laughs. This cosmopolitan harbor fascinates us: watching street artists perform, almost thinking of their husbands as magic props; eating in restaurants, feeding each other for romance and instead getting sauce all over their faces. The fireworks show at night was so beautiful that we forgot our selfies and just giggled. The entertainment was dazzling and we played like two older kids. Darling Harbour is worthy of "Darling", making our date romantic and funny and definitely an unforgettable experience!Visited October 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 October 2024
