Having done Panchakarma before in Sri Lanka I thought I knew what to expect when I visited this place but this was a totally different experience. The level of care and intentionality at this place just amazed me. Everything is targeted at healing, everything has a purpose and every person that works here is trying to ensure your wellbeing. I felt so well taken care of and have developed a much deeper understanding of Ayurveda and Yoga and how I can incorporate it into my life. Can’t wait to go back again!!

Udayagiri is set iin a beautiful healing place that somehow has a light-heartedness to it . . I visited two months ago but still remember so much : dr jithin patiently explaining the treatments and their goals; the kindness of everyone , the yoga master calling out sun salutations at dawn in the painted room ... the friendships made around the tables discussing shared panchakarma adventures ..
While at udayagiri I felt the strongest and best I had felt in a long time, and it was enabling to know that that level of wellness was reachable and possible .
Thank you dr Jithin and everyone at udayagiri .

Ayurveda was a new adventure for me, and I didn't know much about what to expect. It's not for the faint of heart, there are definitely some challenging parts to the treatment, but the staff are very professional and caring and really help you through the hard parts. I came out with more energy and a commitment to maintain new habits formed there that will hopefully continue to serve me well.

The food is incredible! They cook without chilies (as per Ayurvedic directives) so you really get to taste the complexity of the local, traditional dishes provided.

Room Tip: The center is built on a hill, lots of stairs, especially rooms at the top.

It was a fantastic experience at Udayagiri Ayurvedic Center. I loved the location. The center is settled on the top on the mountain in Northern Kerala, very close to a National Park. It's peaceful and quiet, with lots of plants, trees, monkeys, birds and wildlife. There are also a few cows and goats. Very good energy around!

The room we stayed at had everything you need. Comfortable bed with mosquito net, balcony with spectacular view, bathroom, shower with warm water, candles, insence etc.

The daily schedule was very interesting, with poojas, yoga sessions, Ayurvedic treatments and meals.

Food was just spectacular. Everything grown on their organic farms and cooked by talented chefs with lots of love. 3 vegetarian meals a day, wide variety and everything was so delicious. Best food during my stay in India and definitely the healthiest one. Made me feel so good!

Ayurvedic treatments were great, I really enjoyed massages with oils and I have a feeling that although I stayed there for only 6 days, my body largely benefited from them. The longer you stay the better, and I see why, I would love to come back one day and spend at least 2 weeks there.

My favourite part of the stay were yoga classes. Special thanks to Rakesh, who turned out to be the best and the most inspiring yoga instructor I have ever had. His classes were amazing, involved movement, meditation, pranayama and chanting. Powerful experience. Rakesh is such a talented instructor and great human being. He really pushed my limits and took me to another level of my yoga journey. He also is an amazing host. Always making sure that you have what you need and makes you feel like home.

On my last day I had an honor to meet the founder and owner of the retreat. He came to visit and we ended up having a very nice conversation about life, ayurveda, India, modern world and spirituality.

All the people who are involved in running this center are very welcoming, kind and polite. Truly beautiful place. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for refreshment and inspiration to implement positive changes in their lifestyle and improve their health. I truly hope to return one day.

Thank you very much to all the staff. Namaste!

I was in this place for a month. Very scintillating experiences right from the location,in brahmagiri mountain range with nature's freshness. Was having panchakarma treatment which was very effective with trained experienced therapist, doctors, activities around from morning rituals, yoga, organic food from their farms cooked by friendly dedicated cooks. The way i was impressed made me invite my husband and we enjoyed the place together for sometime. Over all very pleasant memorable experience. Will definetely recommend to people who are looking for rejuvenation thats worth their money

Being passionate about yoga / Ayurveda I took a group of women to experience a stay for a week in Udayagiri. There is an honest integrity which these days is hard to find . When you do it touches your soul. The care and love we received by all the staff and immersing ourselves in the Ayurvedic way of living was magical. I highly support all the team at Udayagiri for creating such a beautiful space for one’s journey towards the ‘SELF’

The retreat centre is very peaceful and secluded, perched up in the hills. The staff are super-friendly and attentive - there's no sense of hierarchy; it's all one family. The views and birdsong are spectacular. The treatments were very beneficial and the daily yoga sessions too. The food was quite delicious and thoughtfully prepared, served in the most gracious manner. The experience was thoroughly wholesome and enriching.

I travelled to Udayagiri on a cold February Scottish day not knowing much about what I was heading towards and going on a friend’s recommendation. I didn’t want to go with preconceptions so purposely did not do much research before going. I knew I needed a reset in life being overweight, post menopausal, recently separated, children at University and generally depressed and unhappy in myself. At Udayagiri I found a lot of answers and after 26 days came home a lighter, happier, more balanced person. It was a journey which tested you in many ways as the treatments are full on. You have to go with a positive attitude and embrace all that is suggested and enjoy the genuine care and compassion from all the staff. Remember that it is India and that not all goes to plan. It is all part of the experience and I highly recommend it.

I had the chance to spend 5 days in Udayagiri.
I wanted to find an authentic place to do my first Ayurvedic experience. And it was even better than I had expected.
I felt so welcomed all the way long. The place is stunning and peaceful. Rooms are spacious and comfy with a beautiful view from the balcony. Staffs are so lovely, trully kind and professional.
The meals served were so tasty and delicious. All the process are home made and came from their organic farm.
Massages, Yoga, Pooja… everything here is just the perfect balance to find peace and a feeling of serenity.

Thank you so much to all the team, especially for the ceremony for our birthday. I was sincerely moved and I’m not gonna forget turning 26.
People here make the difference, big part of the reason why this place is so magic. I wish you all the best, from the bottom of my heart.
Eva

Hi As in the mountains can be cooler at night, temp range 15-22 degrees Celsius . We were there in Autumn so just a couple of degrees difference. We did wear a jacket a night and asked for an extra blanket on the bed. I suggest that pack clothes that you can wear in layers. It's a beautiful place enjoy

If you book a flight with transit time of over 8 hrs in Doha when there are no shorter connections available with Qatar, they will pay for your hotel & meals. Great deal!
