Excellent hotel. You are on your own. Peaceful. About 15 minutes walk to the town centre. By taxi will be approximately 100 kroner. Nothing much in town to see. Take a taxi to Alfred Nobel summer house. Walk about 3km to the Godishuset (candy shop) that has about 700 varieties. You will be spoil by choice

Been coming to the Bofors (pronounced Broforcsh) for 5 years now. Love this place. Rooms are fantastic. Staff is excellent. Quiet as can be. If you eat here get the reindeer it's fantastic. The bathroom has heated floors (which after 3 years I've figured out how to turn on!)

This hotel is located in a beautiful building. The inside interior is very stylish as well. There is a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere over the entire hotel and staff, something you rarely find nowadays. Room was beautiful and large. Everything well functioning! Breakfast was great! Restaurant for dinner was also very good, although we found some of the dishes...

When you see the word historic, it might imply old or creaky or outdated. The Bofors is none of these, well maybe older in age, but the recent renovation has kept it up with times. The rooms are quiet and good sized, the bed was very comfortable and the heated bathroom floor was a welcome treat. The wireless coverage was...

Stayed here for 1 night. Everything seemed very nice. Room was very nice and spacious with nice shower room and spacious wardrobe. Breakfast was nice but limited in variety. There is a free pool room downstairs to keep you entertained. Didn't get much chance to try any of the other hotel facilities though.

You pay a lot of money here compared to other accommodations in Karlskoga, but it's worth it. Excellent service and good dining, both a restaurant and a bistro. The hotel has had a tune up during spring 2013 so most of the furniture and equipment is brand new. Skip the elevator, the stairs are worth a walk.

It appears that Karlskoga is not blessed with an over-abundant supply of accommodation and the view is that Bofors is by far the best. I arrived with business colleagues late on a Sunday evening (10pm). There was a staff member there to let us in but no other facilities (bar, snacks) which would have been welcome after a long drive...

Very good hotel in Karlskoga, almost unexpected. Renewed structure, large room and bed. I suggest this hotel to spend a night in this town. Very good bistrot and also the restaurant should be nice, but expensive...i was really lucky since the hotel was full I got the president suite at the price of standard room!!

This is a great hotel for business trips to karlskoga. The staff are extremely helpful and pleasant, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the bathrooms have excellent shower facilities, with underfloor heating. It is only a short walk into town and there are plenty of routes nearby if you like to run or walk for exercise. The hotel also...

I was visiting Karlskoga on business and stayed at the Bofors Hotell, which is really the only hotel you would want to stay in at Karlskoga. The staff and so welcoming and friendly, hotel is near to the towns businesses and a pleasant 20 to 30 min walk to the town centre and a number of restaurants. Hotel rooms are...
