We have spent a great week at Casa Suaya. My wife, my daughter (19), my son (19), enjoyed a lot the great rooms with a spetacular ocean view - we recommend the rooms #13-14-15, in the second floor. The restaurant had a limited but great menu, with a special touch of Clô, who was very kind to prepare us a...

Having spent the last New Years in St Moritz and one prior in Cape Town, my friends and I have decided on Jose Ignacio for 2009/10 celebrations. Jose Ignacio is renowned for great local restaurants (la huella, nann and marisco) and fun atmosphere (large house parties during the season Dec- Jan, if you manage to connect with the appropriate crowd),...

Beware... Casa Suaya is one of the worst places I have ever stayed at in my life. I thought I was on a candid camera show... Service was mediocre. The rooms, albeit nicely decorated, never seemed to work: air conditionning and TV didn't work, and worst of all, on a number of occasions (EACH DAY) there was no water!!! You...

Maybe it was because we went off season, but this was one of the most wonderful hotels/vacations I've ever experienced. For me, it couldn't have been better! The rooms were modern and boutique style- perfect for the quaint chic town of Jose Ignacio. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. The hotel restaurant was closed, but the staff was able to...

My husband and I just returned from a four night stay at Casa Suaya in Jose Ignacio. We had booked three nights, but so enjoyed our time at Casa Suaya that we extended our stay. Our upper story beach view room was spacious, impeccably clean, and stylishly appointed. My husband enjoyed the free wi-fi and the many TV channels available....

Casa Suaya is a small hotel that was opened in 12-2008. It is located about 6 km north of Jose Ignacio, the most charming beachside village you can imagine. The hotel itself is directly across a quiet little 2 lane road from the Atlantic Ocean. Between the road and the ocean and some sand dunes, lightly sprinkled with foliage. Most...

Jose Ignacio is Punta del Este for the locals - it's a beautiful little town with great energy. The high season is January, and there are nightly parties, some of them HUGE. There are amazing hidden restaurants, beautiful beaches, and a very European atmosphere. Casa Suaya is a unique resort that feels more like you're staying at someone's home. The...
