Possibly the most amazing place I've ever stayed. The wonderful experience started from the minute we got into the van to drive to our rafting site. Our guide, Ivan, is incredibly knowledgeable and charismatic, making friends out of a group of strangers by the time we reached the rafts. The rafting trip was fun (even in the rain) and even...

This was the last place we stayed in Costa Rica and thank goodness because nothing else could compare, even though we had already stayed in some wonderful places. From the moment we were picked up at our hotel to the time we were dropped back off at another hotel in San Jose, the service by Pacuare staff was impeccable. The...

I completely agree with the magnificent reviews that precede mine. You don't have to be a honeymooner to fall in love with Pacuare. My wife and I turn 60 this year, have been married for almost 38 years and our experience at Pacuare Lodge was truly magical. Even though we were in the middle of a jungle with no electricity...

We stayed at Pacuare Lodge for the first part of our honeymoon (3 days, 2 nights) in mid-January and had an overwhelmingly amazing experience. As mentioned by other reviewers, you are picked up by a nice and clean bus in San Jose and transported a couple of hours to the rafting drop-in point. Our tour guide for the bus ride...

Every positive thing that has been said about the Pacuare Lodge is true. We have just come back from a week in Costa Rica. The first part of our trip was organized by Daisy at Aventuras Naturales, the company that Pacuare uses to make reservations. Not only was Daisy so generous with her time in answering my 1.1 million questions...

Like most guests we were picked up at our hotel in San Jose, driven to the launch point, rafted to the lodge, did some activities, and then rafted out the next day. The operation is well organized--all aspects went smoothly, including giving us friendly messages about what to expect. The staff is very friendly and engaged in all aspects: the...

5 Star First Class beyond expectations in every way. The River Rafting was beautiful, safe and so fun. Our guide Jose Luis (aka Pokis) as well as the other guides, servers and staff made our trip. They are so eager to help, always smiles and enjoying their "jobs". Was overwhelmed with the quality of the food, the chefs and servers....

My husband and I just returned from Costa Rica where we started with a week on the beach at Playa Grande and finished with 3 nights at Pacuare. It was a spectacular vacation! The ability to raft in and out from Pacuare is incredible. Do not miss the raft out! We met several people over our three nights who chose...
