Weaver’s Rock is under new ownership following three years of Covid disruption.
When we arrived we received the warmest of welcomes from Christa and she explained that the place had changed ownership and was just reopening after a period of disruption due to Covid.
The location is fantastic and the campsites have fabulous views over the countryside and of the mountain.
There is still work to do to bring everything back up to scratch but you can see the work is ongoing and there is a plan to get everything done to make this a top campsite.
The hospitality at the bar and restaurant was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be returning.

While the lodge is perfectly located for a stop-over between Windhoek and Etosha, it is definitely more than that and well worth a longer stay. Christa, with her charming Jack Russells, is such an amazing host and she made us feel really special. The food was to an exceptional standard and the sundowner offered the most amazing views (I say that after having experienced many sunsets in Namibia). The garden of the farm is beautiful, and our chalet was super comfortable also offering beautiful views. I highly recommend this place if you looking for a relaxing break in the Waterberg area.

We found this little gem when searching last minute for a campsite as we were approaching the area of Otjiwarongo. We couldn't ask for better, so much so that we stayed an extra night, and even then, left very reluctantly.
The Guest Farm is perfectly situated for visits to Otjiwarongo (20 mins drive), the Cheetah Conservation Fund (1 hour drive), the Waterberg Plateau (40 mins drive), and Africat (30 mins drive).
Gunter and Thersia were the perfect hosts and couldn't be more welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble.
I can't speak for the rooms, but the campsite was perfect. Clean, quiet, beautiful surroundings and situation.
Each shady camp area has it's own tap, cooking/braai area, stone table and benches - and a view to die for out over the mountains. (And free fire wood - you don't get that anywhere else in Namibia)
The toilets and showers clean and warm, with plenty of toilet paper. (It is important!)
Our boys were so excited to see little Damara Dik Diks grazing amongst the campsites, but perhaps loved the friendly cats even more, who sat on their laps for a cuddle, as they were missing their pets from home.
Gunter and Thersia were happy to sit and chat in the beautiful bar/restaurant/ pool area, relaxing on the comfy sofas, as the evening sun set and the world renowned Namibian stars came out.
We felt we made some wonderful friends in such a short time, and have promised ourselves we will go back to Namibia, just to see Thersia, Gunter and Weavers Rock Farm again.

Spent 2 nights in a bungalow. View from verandah stunning! Sunsets and night skies incredible! Great pool area. Friendly owners. Campsite with communal kitchen also available as well as self-catering bush chalets. Hiking trails on offer. Cannot comment on food as we self-catered.

We overnighted at Weavers Rock campsite on our way home from a camping trip through Namibia. The site was in a great setting overlooking the countryside. There’s a walk you can do up a hill to a stunning view. The site is basic but a private barbecue, sitting and outdoor table site with green grass is great. The showers and bathroom facilities are basic but clean and the shower water is hot. The road to the campsite is very rocky - campers in Namibia will be used to this though. We had a wonderful visit from a mother and baby Damara dik dik - one of the the smallest buck in the world.

Beautiful place in the middle of the bush, near the "rock", a lovely hill that dominate the bush. But the magic of this place occurs with the great sens of hospitality of Evelina and Dick.
Thanks to Dick's kindness (thank you for the music), and the FANTASTIC cooking of Evelina that "put love in every little thing sha makes".
Not only a good place but also a great experience.

We have received good and friendly service from the owners of Weavers Rock Camp site.
The bathrooms were clean with lovely hot water. There was also a large kitchen available with all amenities.
The braai wood provided was more than enough for a big campfire and braai.
Definitely worth a visit again.

We had a very nice welcome here. Every member of staff we met was friendly, considerate and helpful, as was the owner. The grounds of the guest farm are attractive and well maintained and the swimming pool was the only one in the whole of our holiday I felt tempted to swim in.
We had booked in to camp at the farm but because we were so fed up with the multitude of problems we'd experienced with the rented vehicle and its equipment, we opted to stay in one of the bungalows.
Our bungalow was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the bedding and towels of a good quality. The bed/living room had a fridge, kettle with ingredients for making tea and coffee, side table, table with dining chairs and a small wardrobe area. The bathroom had a shower, hand basin and toilet. There was lots of hot water. The bed/living room opened out to an outside covered seating area with chairs. The views from the bungalow were spectacular.
During our stay we had very good dinners and breakfasts in the restaurant, for which the chef and his co worker require complementing.
We also had a very interesting and enjoyable tour of the farm estate, finished by a sundowner on top of a small hill. I've had numerous sundowners in Africa but this was the first time I actually saw the sun set!
We fully recommend the Guest Farm Bungalows and the restaurant.

Really liked this place from start to finish. It is on an elevated position with great views across the open landscape from your room. The rooms were clean and comfortable and met all our basic needs. The staff were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. No complaints at all. A special bonus was the friendly Meerkat that came to greet you when we arrived, our kids loved it.
