Our host Mary and the owner Pantelis were wonderfully friendly and generous. Our apartment there had stunning views of the surrounding countryside, was so homely and beautifully decorated with all the amenities we required. Breakfast every day is fresh local produce, Panetelis makes his own wine [VERY nice] and Mary kept us supplied with Raki and plenty of useful information...

Extraordinary hospitality of our hosts. All my praises to Pantelis and Maria to their hospitality and openness. Very nice villa, quiet, spacious and clean apartment. Tasteful and generous breakfast. You may fill there a real and warm Greek atmosphere and tradition, in a small village on the top of a hill with a marvelous view. There are very nice beaches...

Our check in of 2 nights was allowed after 2pm, as the villa is tucked away in the hillside we decided to take a leisurely drive up there and arrive a bit later on as we knew there was no pool facilities. We arrived just after 5pm, Maria the host is very friendly and chatty, greeted us and explained we...

This small family-run business is a gem hidden in the Cretan mountains. Its four rooms are traditionally decorated and equipped with all the facilities (shower cabin, cooker, coffee maker, A/C, TV, Wi-Fi) a modern house has. The village itself is one of the quietest places in Crete, thus guaranteeing peaceful sleep. Breakfast is served in baskets daily and consists of...

I was meant to write this review a long time ago, but better late than never! We stayed with my husband at Strofilia Villas in July 2011 for 4 days. We are both Greek living in London. There are 3 important things for me when paying for accommodation: cleanliness, comfortable bed and a good breakfast! Strofilia Villas scored highly on...

Wow!! The hospitality shown by the Sapounakis family was incredible..a seemingly unlimited supply of fresh warm bread, honey, fruit, wine and raki..and the villas were stunning. We were really impressed by every aspect of our stay. Loved the stone and wood, the views and did I mention the hospitality? We felt like part of the family. A 30 minute drive...
