Good charming hotel. Location just out of the major roads ,but near the sea. Good breakfast and nice restaurant on the territory for dinner. Big clean room and free parking. Do not leave lights on in the evening with open windows- lots of BUGS will come in. To take it off just turn off lights and wait 10 minutes. Drive 45 minutes to Cefalu. 5 minutes to small town. It's nice and keep a spirit of real Siciliano. Perfect cheap restaurants and cafe in.taste their food and you will be back
A great few days of relaxation. The hotel met the expectations in 100%. Beautiful location. Rooms comfortably furnished and clean. You can always count on friendly service and delicious food. We recommend going there!
We enjoyed our stay but the 4/5 rating is misleading. By UK standards this is an average hotel. It’s very charming and quaint and staff are helpful and polite (they fixed our toilet on the day it broke) and it is also in a beautiful location right next to the ocean. However, if you are coming from UK please be aware some things we usually expect in a hotel are not provided. For example: - rooms have mini fridge but bottled water is not provided free - rooms have towels but hotel does not provide swim/beach towels and charges if room towels are used in pool area. - rooms are not cleaned daily/rubbish bins are not emptied etc. - bedlinen is not refreshed everyday. Also be aware the hotel is right beside a train line. Not a problem for us as we are heavy sleepers but might be an unpleasant surprise for some. However, if you know what you are expecting it’s a very charming, quiet hotel out of the way of the busy modern world with only the little town above for delightful Sicilian treats and a feel of Sicilian life. Hiring a car is a must, as the town itself is in the middle of no where and walking from hotel to town is all uphill and very steep.…
This is at best a two star hotel. We had two rooms and each had its own challenges. The air conditioner was broken in one room, the water did not drain from the sink in either room so we just removed the stopper, which I realized was not attached to the lever and so it would not work. My door to the bathroom only opened half way and would not close. The bed felt like sleeping on the floor as it was very hard. The whole place was just rundown and tired. While it has beautiful views of the ocean the decor and shoddy rooms took away from it. The staff does speak some English. Funny thing was the front desk called to check on the items broken and I could not hear her because the room phone connection was awful and the phone didn’t work well Additionally we did not have WiFi at all. Staff claimed you needed to log on at the front desk and it would then be ok around the property. We have five devices and tried on each one with no luck, which wasn’t a surprise. Couldn’t wait to leave. …
We stayed for a week - first with a big group of about 30 then just with my Ex and our kids. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful in a relaxed, unfussy way. The whole place is clean and has a family run vibe. The trattoria is good too. I’d love to come back and use it as a base to see even more of this spectacular island. There are good road links to the whole north coast and we even got as far as Etna for a day trip to the east.
