Word of mouth made us book here for friends birthday, even though they had previously had a bad experience before the present owners took over and vowed they would never go back! What a turn around! Six of us dined and had a fantastic meal with good wine. Fran who is the owner is delightful and makes it her business...

Today I was taken to the Red Pump for Mother's Day and had. Wonderful time. We were welcomed with so much kindness and the warmth by a member of staff and The mothers were offered a glass of bubbly (an alternative non alcoholic version would have been a good idea) and given some home made chocolates at the end of...

Visited here at the weekend whilst on a coach trip, lunch which was sandwiches and soup was arranged for about 50 of us at The Red Pump Inn and what a let down it was. We did arrive nearly 30 minutes late but the sandwiches on the tables for us where hard, dry and all curled up. I complained to...

Stayed here for one night with friends. We stayed in the 'Pendle View' room which was superbly appointed and very comfortable. Lovely bathroom but no stand-up shower (if that bothers you). Beautifully furnished and quality bedding. We had a nightcap in our friends room, The Coach House, which was equally superb. A decent range of beers and cider in the...

My husband and I stayed the night here after a disastrous encounter at another hotel! Fran, the owner was so lovely and helpful. The hotel has 8 bedrooms which are boutique style. We only saw the one which we stayed in but it was lovely and very clean and had the most comfiest bed I have ever slept in! The...

Lovely country pub situated not far from Clitheroe. Really nice food (I had sea bass but their speciality is steak) in a very cozy room which had a great atmosphere. There was lots of people dining because it was Valentines weekend but they coped well and our food was served at a nice pace. The room is nicely spaced out...

Went for lunch 13 Feb 2016. Booked ahead of time to be sure of getting a table. Place was busy but not stuffed to the rafters. Environment: set in the Ribble Valley, a beautiful rural area. Inside, the inn is an old farm style building, very sympathetically decorated (I loved the tweed curtains). Comfortable seating, good use of space. There...

We went here for the first time to celebrate our sons birthday as a party of four. The staff were friendly and helpful from the start. The meal and service was excellent and we were not rushed with time between courses. Three of us had steak and it was cooked to perfection the fourth had one of the vegetarian dishes...

Friendly reception and great food. We both had the special - Pheasant Pasty, chosen because it was something different. The whole meal with accompanying chips and cauliflower cheese was delicious. We eat out regularly and would recommend the Red Pump without hesitation. Great atmosphere, great beer, well appointed with roaring log fire.

Booked to stay here as we were attending a wedding reception about 10 mins away. I saw it as the ideal location. We were given a warm greeting and ushered in and shown to our rooms where we chilled until we were nearly ready to leave. I didn't spot that they sell Estrella Damm on draught as if I had,...
